Does God ever call on saved Christians to convert to Judaism?

Is it possible to be a saved Christian and be Jewish at the same time?

Maybe I should change my name from "On the Path" to "Scratching my Head".
If I were an Indian, the chief would rename me "She scratches her head constantly".

Thanks,

.

The Jewish religion denies that Jesus is the Messiah, the Savior of the world. They do not believe that the Messiah has yet come.

This information ought to answer both of your questions.

I don't understand this at all. Why would GOD want someone to convert to "religion" that denies Christ? That makes no sense at all. Where do you come up with such an idea after having accepted Christ 42yrs ago according to your profile? Please clarify for us so there is no confusion.

My mum was jewish so according to the jewish faith I am jewish. But I was not circumcised, and am now a Christian. So, I am a saved Christian and jewish. Have I missed the point?

Have I missed the point........you ask. Certainly not. As I see it.......you have the best.....the Jew will triumph, and the Christian also. A wild olive we are, but grafted in to the blessing, according to the riches of His grace.

None need perish.......all may live......in Jesus

I found my answer.

We have a new member: StarofDavid40 who is a "Messianic Jew". I did some research to see that that (Messianic Jew) was all about and found a bunch of information.

The one thing that answered my question is that there are some Christians who worship and celebrate the feasts of the Lord like in the Old Testament, but without the sacrifices. I'm not sure what these people would be called, the website said "Messianic Christians".

Chad - I was not thinking of converting to become Jewish, I was searching for something I did not have the vocabulary for, at least not until StarofDavid40 joined.

JohnPaul,

For the answer to your question, I suggest you study Galatians 5: 1-13 and also OnThePath's post from today (9/26).

"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." (Gal 5:6)

PERFECT!!!!! now I know how to answer my friend's question.

Everyone has been great and thanks for your patience.

god wont call someone to change his religion as i see it judaism is a religion... but its a religion that go against christ.. there are ppl who borned jews but accepted christ as saviour (like me) and there are some who act according to the halkha (jewish law about traditions and custoums of every day and holidays) and the halkha from christ time and do some of the stuff that judaism (or ancient judaism) says to follow/do/act. but its not about religion its about being saved.. so a one could act like a christian (relgion) or judaism (religioun) or muslim (religion) but still belive in christ (and i heard there are muslims or muslim borned that accept christ as their lord and son of god though islam alrdy accepted him as saviour but not as son of god or lord or king).

A Jewish person who believes that Jesus is the Messiah
