I've come across the phrase Christian lifestyle quite a bit in the last few days and it's started me thinking about its meaning. Most people seem to have personal morality in mind when they talk about Christian lifestyle - especially sexual morality, and abuse of alcohol.

But that's not what jumps out of the page when I read the stories of Jesus in the gospels. For me, the most striking thing about Jesus' lifestyle is that he lived entirely selflessly, able to offer grace and love to anyone and everyone who sought it.

I'd never say that personal morality is not important, but I would love to see us Christians be more ambitious in our application of following Christ.

A lifestyle can be easily imitated...imitating the walk, talk, dress, actions of a person or group is easy...people do it all the time.

Life on the other hand cannot be imitated, I am either dead, or I am alive, there is no faking that.

To whom the Son gives Life...is Alive indeed...you can`t "style" the power of the Spirit, as you would by putting all your little ducks in a row...

to anyone attempting to do so, good luck with that! :)

Good word Hekuran :)

Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you....

Christ Like would be a good way to say it.
It is not that hard at all to do if you allow God to change you from the inside out.
Romans 12:2 KJV
And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good , and acceptable and perfect will of God.

and as you do this you will have to make this next verse a must do and put it into practice 24/7/365
2Corinthians 10:5 KJV
Casting down "imaginations" or "reasonings" and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into CAPTIVITY every thought to the obedience of Christ.

... This is where you will end up if you learn to put forth the time to make the scriptures above a totasl way of live 24/7/365
Galations 5:16 KJV
This I say then, WALK IN THE SPIRIT and ye shall NOT fulfil the lust of the flesh.
NOTE: Lust of the flesh can be said as PRESSURE and is not always a sexual thing. Lust of the flesh is simply the way you did things before God or living as the worldly do. Lust of the flesh can be DOUBT....FEAR....UNBELIEF and so forth.
You do these things and you will walk as Chrtist did...
I can say this............it change my life big time.
Blessings
Jim

Brother, a Christians "life style" is based on what we believe. Our actions in this life are sorely expressed in the truth we know and understand. If our belief is wrong then all of our actions will also be wrong. If we believe right our actions follow what we believe. We can not act beyond our faith.
