A high majority has similar sounding music and uses the same, tired, over used "lyrics".
I don't have a talent in Music but I know enough to have written my own.
Here are the lyrics:

Christian Music is Bad - Me (2024)

(Verse 1) We're drowning in a sea of sameness, Same old tunes, same old themes, Christian music's lost its edge, It's all just cliches and empty pledges.

(Chorus) Oh, it's the same old song, Melodies that just go on and on, Lyrics that are bland and repetitive, Christian music has become too predictive.

(Verse 2) It's a shame, it's a pity, That we're stuck in this musical rut, We need a revolution, some fresh blood, To revive this genre, lift it out of the mud.

(Chorus) Oh, it's the same old song, Melodies that just go on and on, Lyrics that are bland and repetitive, Christian music has become too predictive.

(Bridge) Can't we break free from this monotony? Embrace new sounds, unleash creativity? It's time to redefine, to push the boundaries, And bring Christian music to new heights, unencumbered by old ties.

(Chorus) Oh, it's the same old song, Melodies that just go on and on, Lyrics that are bland and repetitive, Christian music has become too predictive.

(Outro) Let's break the mold, rise above the ordinary, Unleash our passion, make our voices heard, Create music that's truly extraordinary, And leave behind this stale and repetitive blur.

Try this one by Triumph. They ain't Christian but see what you see. Song is called "Never Surrender". Another one of theirs that good is "Fight The Good Fight."

"Out in the streets inspiration comes hard
The Joker in the deck keeps handin' me his card
Smiling friendly he takes me in
Then breaks my back in a game I can't win
Jivin; Hustlin; Whats it all about?
Everybody always wants the easy way out
Thirty golden pieces for the Judas kiss
Whats a nice boy doin in a place like this?

Chrous

Modern Apathetis; you got plenty of nothing to say
Some are born to follow, some will make their own way
Today you found a hero tomorrow you'll forget
You're lookin for convenient truth you havn't fount it yet
You don't make commitments no time for regrets
Easy come and easy go and easy to forget
You don't ever take responsibility
Don't you know that part of you is part of me?

Chorus

Another verse you can look up

One more worth looking at is by Ronnie James Dio called "The Last in Line"

And how could we skip over STAIRWAY TO HEAVENS lyrics

I like Third days THIEF as well.

Uriah Heap had a song with better Christian lyrics than so called gospel groups have today, called Easy Living.
The secular crowd I don’t think, even picked up on what they were saying.

Just goes to show you can find the story and glorification of it just about anywhere if your looking.

So when the musician was asked what he did, his answer was:

"I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.

In my band days in the 70's, that was our opening song.

I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.
I write modern worship music.

True, but more often than not, it is also....

I write unbiblical worship music.
I write unbiblical worship music.
I write unbiblical worship music.
I write unbiblical worship music.

Most of it is at best 2 maybe three 4-lines and then Chorus x3-10x and that's it.

Have you tried christian music in other languages? Their much more in-depth and rather beautiful when you understand what they say. They are much more raw to, if I get bored of Voices of Lee, Jeremy Camp and so on... I go for that. Its much more significant and poetic as well.

"Their much more in-depth and rather beautiful when you understand what they say." - Opinion.
I've learned and found that more are supportive of and work with False Teachers and "Christians" who don't make sound doctrine based music.
Anyone supporting Hillsong should be avoided.

Anyone supporting Hillsong should be avoided.
What is Hillsong?

I looked up the definition of hill song, it is unfortunate that you would desire to avoid anyone who may like that music. Naturally music changes to peoples opinions and preferences of people. It is not scripture, its music. I am happy you pointed that out, It's always valuable to consider the messages and beliefs behind the music we engage with.

Similar to genres of music, different denominations may view a particular music as 'false' and not a true form of the 'christian music'. Naturally some people may dislike a particular song of a particular selection of music. For me, I cannot stand christian 'rap', the modern christian songs and so on. Music is opinionated, everyone has a preference, I do agree with you most modern christian songs are... predictable and repetitive.

While I understand your concerns, I personally find beauty and meaning in some of Hillsong's music and have found inspiration in their ministry. I believe that each person's spiritual journey and discernment are unique, and we all have different perspectives on what resonates with us spiritually. Whilst I Bible study, I would rather listening to 'no longer slaves' or a 'way maker' ... then have my eyes twitch at the recent...ones.

Nb: Completely agree with your repetition, my eye twitches from time to time. Hence why I prefer older songs.

Have a nice day,

Winter.

I used to like their music.
I have some extensive knowledge of music and coupled with others who've pointed out the same, it's not good music for Christian ears.
Specific beats and sound designed to invoke "emotions and feelings" while the lyrics largely ignore God and all for show. Their music is more like a secular concert than actual praise and worship music.

A lot of controversy and false teachers were and/or are at that "church".
Carl Lenz is the biggest stain on it and it is going to regain God's favor it must make swift, permanent, harsh changes.

Oh I agree!

' I rise..... I rise... I surrender...' over and over again
( My eye twitches)
'I stand by you, I stand by you.....'
(Twiches more..)

Their needs to be a song that has beat but also great devotion to the lord..explain the reason not just ' I was lost... and NOW I AM FOUND' again and again. Just say how they was found... I agree that this era is not ideal. I only listen to the old ones to not disappoint my ears.. It should not be that hard to make a song that is truly inspired by the Lord.. unless it is done for fame instead of the actual purpose.

For example, A verse like:

I was lost, and now I have been found...
You carry meeeee you carry meee ( Reapeat x5)
( I don't know the song its just in my head from a long time ago)

Could it not have been:

In the shadows of my shame, I wandered far
Silent cries and broken dreams beneath the stars
Lost within the echoes of my sin
Longing for the light to lead me back again

- contains more context, actually the case for most non-christians. Your empty and hollow just like how psalms 1 states a non-christian is like a 'chaff'

Or

' I am not ashamed I stand by you' ( repeat x10)
' I am at your cross and will always be' (repeat x 5)
Sigh, why cant it be something like this...

In this time of uncertainty, when Your arrival might be near,
You stripped away my stubbornness, and revealed my pride so clear
With Your grace, my faults could never hide
I shall pray to You, my Lord, to You, I confide

In Your presence, I find my peace
In Your love, my worries cease
Through the storms, You are my guide
In You, my faith will abide

With humility, I bow before Your throne
My heart and soul, to You I own
In Your light, my spirit soars
In Your presence, I am restored

Thank You for Your mercy and Your love
Guiding me to Your kingdom above
In this time of uncertainty and fear
I trust in Your presence, knowing You are near.

I write poems To our Lord from time to time, the above is actually one of them but one of the first ones I have done (Some are a little too personal so this was a nicer one) . Its not a song but still, someone could have more depth into what they sing . However You are right, secular culture has some grasp on the music now which is rather disappointing and sad.

Have a good day,

Winter.
