The other day I was listening to two "Christian Music Stations". I was listening at the words very carefully. After a while I became rather upset. Here is why. Out of six songs only two songs mentioned eiter, God, Jesus, Lord, or any thing that refered to a divine person. That's not Christian Music. It may be a ppep me up music, or an encouraging song, but it's not Christian! Have we become so weak that satan has been able to make christians believe encouraging words are christian? I think so.

Being an real "Overcomer" takes Jesus Christ, not just a few encouraging words. Next time when listening to "Christian Radio" listen to the words carefully, is this a real song about Christ or just a worldly son made to sound good.

I think some christian singers have taken a weak stand and are singing songs that any religion could listen to and think it's a great song for any religion. Any worldly singer could sing some of thses feel good encouraging songs, and have a hit on some of these Christian Radio Stations.

Should we begin to let these radio stations know how we feel? What do you think?

It doesn't hurt, but don't judge them lest you be judged as well.

Here's my thoughts: if the song doesn't satisfy you, move on to the next.

I use iTunes Radio and Spotify and Pandora. With iTunes and Pandora, they play the same genre based off the artists I choose initially. Works very well. Spotify the same, plus option of choosing manually what songs/artists I want played. Pretty simple and no complaints here.

No reason to be shocked about some artists not playing "Christian music". Let GOD handle that. There are far more serious matters going on right now, you know what I mean?

To each artist their own. I agree that it is easy to tell whether lyrics are truly Christian in nature. for instance I do enjoy air 1 & K love but not always do the songs they play mention Jesus or God. however the majority of the songs do.

you have bands such as Amberlin that start out as Christian lyricists and then they cross over to quote unquote 'mainstream'. just remember their relationship with God is not for us to judge, nor if they cross over to another to another genre does it necessarily mean that they have stopped believing. Inversely there may be Christian artists who never really believed in the first place, but want to tap an easy listening demographic to gain popularity to cross over later. Ironically, south park made an episode highlighting just that latter scenario.

however this is no different from everyday life as people will be fake from time to time no matter where you go.

if it offends you, yes there are always other options. my favorite is Slacker Radio on my galaxy phone. but the only time I will boycott a radio station is if the majority of their music was positive yet not mentioning the Lord.

indeed without the Lord why be positive at all?

Those songs, although not for you, have made others, not dedicated to Christ, consider Him more, and seek Him. And if you seek Him, He shall be found. Likewise, they often have a good beat, and you can insert your thoughts of it being about Jesus to enjoy it more, and then after refreshing yourself musically, get your butt out and witness to non-believers so that you don't become jaded in finding the speck in their eyes without doing the good thing yourself. Its better to burn yourself out for God than to burn others for their shortcomings (although if prompted by the Holy Spirit, you must burn them, for its for their betterment).
