I am seriously thinking of not listening to secular music anymore, and just listening to Christian music only. But, i have a lot of secular music on my computer that i have paid a lot of money for, and am reluctant to delete it. Also, some of my fave bands are secular, such as AC/DC, and IRON MAIDEN, and i would miss listening to them. What should i do?

These are the bands I listen to, Linkin Park, The Stereos, Hanson, Moffatts, Rise Against, Our Lady Peace, Thousand Foot Krutch, The Newsboys, Matthew West, Justin Bieber, Serial Joe and that's all I can think of! You are exposd to so much in this world that you just have to have a filter up. I take what I want from music and leave what I dont like. I don't listen to bands that sing about satan. Most of these bands are either Christian or are secular with Christian members. Example they all thank Jesus their Lord and Saviour on the album sleeve. I recently dropped a band I loved, 30 Seconds To Mars because they have turned into a full blown cult. I may still listen to a song or two because I make them my own and take what I want from the song. I wonder if any of this makes sense lol.

What do you mean when you say 30 Seconds To Mars have 'turned into a full blown cult.'?

I have been listening to a lot of praise music lately, some Christian like Casting Crowns, but nothing secular. Although I do play secular music in my band. I have been a huge fan of Iron Maiden, with an enormous collection of their music but I haven't listened to them for a few months. I've been praying for the Lord to lead me wherever He wants me to go music-wise. If can't let go of something then it becomes an idol.
