I have listenened to a good deal of Christian music in my short life. But I found that a lot of it is "Cherry" or "Uplifting", it seems like everything is perfect all the time.
Now, don't get me wrong, with God by your side your life should be great, but even people with the strongest relationship with God have bad times/days. Going through those bad days being the best person you can is one of the hardest tests I go through as a teenager.
But during those hard days, I don't feel like, or I'm not in the "mood" to listen to uplifting Christian rock music. I feel like I need something that I can relate to, that yes, even the best people have tough times, and they get through it by just reminding themselves of who died for us.
Maybe this is just because I'm a teenager (18), but I am currently finishing a song (with guitar) that goes through someones self-discovery that no matter who stays or goes in your life, there is always someone by your side (Jesus).
I was wondering people's thoughts/comments on this. I don't want to finish off a song without it being the best it can be, and going along with the Bible as best as it can, maybe even some quotes or illusions to it.
*edit, I have been looking through these forums on rizen's posts about songs, very much like the type of songs i want to hear/write. Thanks Rizen
Thank you very much,
Landon
