1 Timthy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Makes me wonder if verse 15 is referring to being led away from the temptation of usurping authority over a man and not just teaching a man. To avoid that temptation is by raising & teaching children instead, but the point I want to highlight here is that a Christian godly woman would not wear make up or fancy jewelry or sexy attires or for that matter, a bikini thong swimsuit.

1 Peter 3:1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; 2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: 6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

1 Timothy 3:11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

1 Timothy 5:9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man. 10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. 11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; 12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith. 13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. 14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

Can a Christian woman live godly in America? Even in most churches, they expect women and men to dress up in wearing their Sunday's best.

Is it an important matter? I would think if men and women lived like that, they would avoid the foot of pride.

2 Corinthians 10:7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? if any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

I would think it would take an effort to be an average joe or an average "jane" to live godly in America when society has groomed us to think and live otherwise, even by how we judge others by their outward appearance subconsciously.

I think it would be harder for a Christian woman to live that way more so than a man since men don't generally wear make up at all, unless they are celebrities on set for a movie or an interview or something.

Reminds me of that song..." they will know we are Christians by our love, by our love, they will know we are Christians by our love". By not catering to society's sex appeal standard, would we feel free to love the poor and the down trodden and the unattractive?

This prophesy in Isaiah testifies to how Jesus Christ had appeared to men in His days.

Isaiah 53:1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. KJV

Makes one think how the angels among us will look like too.

Hebrews 13:1Let brotherly love continue. 2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

May the Lord help us to live godly in a world that judges other people & even ourselves by the outward appearance.

Be careful and study the context of the above passages and its cultural meaning for the times. Apparently in those times and circumstances, women were competing with each other for attention from possible suitors and to create a hierachy of women. They turned up at worship dressed lavishly, with expensive perfumes, and costumes of the period. They had to be admonished as it was distracting them and others from the true purpose of being there, to worship and learn. Nothing to do whatsoever with there appearance. And it has been argued that timid quiet women is what Paul wanted, not neccesarily what God wanted. There are many powerful women prophets in scripture and throughout history. Be very VERY careful of being "spiritual" in other words. This is another reason i avoid organised religion.

Peter even gave reference to Sara in how she served Abraham her husband so even though what you say may be true of the times, that was not the only thing they were instructing women to guard against in their days, but to follow the example set forth by Sara.

Thanks for sharing.

And be careful though they look like this outwardly not to equate those who carry assault weapons as being actual followers of Jesus. The two do not go together.

Christians can serve in the military since God has appointed government to not bear the word in vain in deterring evil.

Romans 13:1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

It is when they say we are doing God's service for killing the enemy is when one has to stop and reconsider their military orders.

John 16:1These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

If believers had known about this, there may have been no crusades in the middle ages.

The military is to deter evil. Christians in the military are not to bear the sword nor the word in vain. May Christ help them to do this.

Do not be absurd. You know very well. What I am talking about. One alleged Pastor in Texas believing the absurd lie that the election was stolen told his congregation it was God's will to lock and load. Thank God Jesus does not judge by outward appearance.

No, Romans 13 is not about obeying the governing authorities — Craig Greenfield this person saved me an awful lot of typing! Because this is basically what i was going to explain. Not that I should have to. We are to obey a governent that allows men to marry and adopt children, that arrests christians for hate speech when they speak the truth?????? REALLY?????? And you claim God put such wicked men and women in authority? No wonder I avoid organised religion.

No government can force you to do evil, but God ordained government in using the military to deter evil for they bear not the sword in vain. When trusting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Good Shepherd, the men in the military may be led otherwise if the orders they are given is evil.

That link has the author questioning if he got it right or not and not just questioning if we got Paul's words right.

When Jesus had said this; the Romans soldiers were known for being "lord" over the Jews and did bully them on occasions. Think of them as worse cops back then than the bad cops we have today that the media would like to jump all over.

Some may contest my application, but do consider how Jesus said this as all encompassing.

Matthew 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

But if we were to get deep into it, Freemasons has public bondage in all public services and government as that can be a major reason why no Christian should be in nor remain in service, asking Jesus to forgive and set them free to follow Him.

Pretty soon, after the rapture event, and a third of the world gets burned up, the rest of the 2/3rds of the world will have to face the New World Order and the mark of the beast system which Christians left behind will not take to buy & sell in order to survive in the New World Order as they and new believers after the rapture will know better than to take the mark which means the lake of fire, the second death, eternal separation from God and all that is good.

Those going through the great tribulation will have this warning & judgment to live by while trying to survive those hunting them down by the sword and not just killing them by starvation for not having the mark to buy & sell.

Revelation 13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

I thank the Lord that I am hard of hearing and flat footed for why the military would not take me, but He still had to deliver me from all those commitments/promises to Christ, and other man made bondages for me to rest my soul in Him.

That particular poster is a false teacher of OSAS, and had not repented of any of the falsehoods he is so eagerly teaching to others. Obedience to governments are only in the matters of righteousness and paying taxes, Jesus never commanded absolute and blind obedience to human authorities. In fact, Jesus’ early apostles didn’t obey the Pharisical authorities when they were ordered by the Pharisees to stop preaching the Gospel. Ignore false teachers, they are self warped and deceived.

I do not believe I was advocating for absolute and blind obedience to government when a New World Order will come that will demand using only the mark of the beast system to buy & sell in order to survive when those who take it have been warned by the third angel that doing so will be judged for the lake of fire. I would say what Christ would say... do not take the mark of the beast to survive in that coming New World Order.

My hope is in Christ for all things. How about yours? Do you divide that singular hope in Christ with works of your own? Because if you do, then by that work, you are denying Jesus Christ as God as able to save those that believe in Him.

I believe you are saved for believing in the Lord Jesus Christ & that God has raised Him from the dead, but if you look to works to keep yourself saved or to obtain salvation, then that heresy, that work of the flesh, that iniquity that denies Him as your God as able to save you on that foundation which that foundation can never be removed, will be burned off of that foundation, as that which defiles the temple of God will be removed but though the physical body will die, your spirit will be with the Lord to await for your resurrection after the great tribulation.

1 Corinthians 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wo
od, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

May I ask you to consider going before that throne of grace and ask Jesus Christ to help you receive from Him any corrections that you may be blinded to just to make sure that everything is okay between you & Him? Can't hurt to ask, right?

Oh what an abomination to stand naked before the lord. The most high must have made a most terrible mistake to create mankind naked..oh wait. And what a terrible thing to send Isiah out in the world naked for three years, or to have the prophets prophesise and worship naked, not to mention Peter and many others working naked on there fishing vessells and repairing nets. Out poor God must be beside himself in great anguish. I think I may have to shower with a raincoat on!

So you don't believe in the moral law?

I have never believed in manmade traditions, dogma, conditioning and the worldly system. This from very early childhood where i simply could not fit in to this sin damaged world. So no, I don't necessarily value manmade laws and traditions.

Sad to say but this is what I am seeing
Seems many who claim to be woman of Christ like to sleep with their your younger brothers instead of uplifting their Spirit Speaking of their experiences and speaking that their is hope tho their are many trials n tribulations

Woman a sister don't sleep with their brothers to satisfy their own Lust of their Flesh

At least try n walk the walk n stop being such Hypocrites of the Word and turning many away from YH and pulling these young men Into your web of fornication and Lust

What exactly are you saying? That eve was sleeping with her younger brothers? Um she had none
N do you walk around naked in front of your brothers/sisters? Or r you sleeping with your younger brothers/sisters because for the life of me I can't even imagine how one would even justify doing so
