Christians celebrating Halloween

No-one who celebrates Christmas or Easter has any room to talk.

Sorry my dial-up doesn't support most vid, so I can't watch it at home.

Bless up!

Can you state the difference each holiday have. We know pagan traditions can be drawn from all three but what is the difference ?

Are you anti or pro these holidays ?

Halloween celebrates death.

Christmas is the time when we as Christians celebrate Jesus' birth (though we can celebrate it all year round! and should!).

Easter...I call Resurrection Sunday...is when Jesus conquered the grave and rose from the dead! Again can be celebrated all year...every day!

I celebrate Christmas and Resurrection Sunday NOT because they are pagan holidays...but because they celebrate the Life of THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN HISTORY! We can not have Christmas without Good Friday or Resurrection Sunday. And we can not have Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday without Christmas.

I know that there are some things about these holidays that are pagan...but I WILL not allow satan to get these celebrations. He has enough!

And yes...I see the good in these holidays and not the bad. And of course, satan wouldn't want us celebrating anything that would give us hope, life, peace, etc like Christmas and Resurrection Sunday. He wants us to be in HIS grasp...

Again, I don't celebrate Halloween...that's satan's holiday.

Thanks for your answer Giggles4God.

Also I use the term Resurrection weekend. The event comes from the bible. We celebrate it each day, but one weekend in the year the world unites and celebrate it together. I'm not sure how Christians celebrate easter, because I never did.

Christmas did not even change its name when it was "sanctified."
It celebrates the death and resurrection of any number of gods, Mithra, who was also called "The Christ", being one.

The cranberry strands on the christmas tree originally represented Mithra's guts that he strung on an evergreen when he sacrificed himself.

The gold and silver balls represent the testicles of another pagan god.

I can see where that's a celebration of life.

Easter was a day for SACRIFICING BABIES.

Many "christian" churches to this day use eggs dyed red to symbolize the death and resurrection of christ.

Never mind those eggs were originally to celebrate the fertility goddess in her many guises and the red dye was originally the blood of sacrificed babies.

God gave us festivals to celebrate.

Easter was NOT one of them.
In fact, celebration of easter was one of the downfalls of the Herods.

Christ did NOT celebrate easter, although it was an established holiday at the time of His life.
Christ celebrated the Passover, which was already established and which He consecrated as representing Himself and His death and resurrection.

DO NOT LEARN THE WAYS OF THE PAGAN.

Follow God.
Do what God said to do.

We already have a festival to celebrate Christ's resurrection.
It's called Passover.
God says we were to keep it FOREVER.

And when we are baptized we celebrate His birth.
Did God not say when Jesus was baptized "On this day I have begotten You"?

Bless up.

1- The event does not come from the bible.
It is based on the pagan holiday of easter.
All anyone did is change the name.

2- I don't know how resurection sunday is different from easter other than the name. Easter is NOT celebrated on the same day around the world, and for that matter neither is christmas.

PLEASE read your bible and pray and consider.
Do not adopt the ways of the heathen.

Bless up.

These are already Satan's holidays which you are choosing to celebrate.

The benefits you list are illusions.
That's how the adversary tricks you.

Do the math from "good" Friday to easter Sunday.
Obviously Jesus didn't go into the Grave on Friday night and arise on Sunday morning.

He was in the grave three nights.
Either God is a liar or good Friday is a lie.

Please read your bible and carefully reconsider your defense of adopting demonic pagan holidays that centered around human sacrifice.

Bless up.

It would be very interesting to discuss how you celebrate the feasts, could you possibly start a thread ?

My opinion is that halloween is more than likely a christian religious institutional holiday.

Just look at the simularities, for halloween the participants dress up and pretend to be something that they are not, sure sounds like a religious gathering to me.

To what end, jiggfly?

It's obvious that you believe I'm in the wrong, even though you obviously don't read my posts carefully if at all and deny the scripture I attach..

Thank-you anyway.

Bless up.

that is what got it all started jiggyfly.

Yes. At least Halloween (All HAllowed Eve, the night before All Saints Day) has origins in Christianity, although confounded with harvest festivals.

Both christmas and easter have their origins in pagan sun-god worship and are NAMED FOR THE PAGAN GODS, Christ Mithra and Astarte.

WHOA!!!!!!

What's that?

Astarte?
The Ashtoreth that God demanded people destroy?

Why yes.
Easter is worship of the Ashtoreth.

Justify that.

Bless up.
I mean that.

I dig what you're saying, but how do you back this up? Where are the scriptures & evidence, for us to go by?

Deuteronomy 5:29 {American Standard Version}
29 Oh that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

I know October 31st was the date on which Martin Luther put up his 95 Thesis, but does that justify memorializing it on the Calander at all?

The Apostle Paul spoke of holidays and feasts. Some recognize them some don’t hold them to have any importance.
It all comes down to the attitude of the heart.
A game of dominoes could be wrong to someone.
