Christmas trees origin?

Jer 10:1 Hear the Word which Jehovah speaks to you, O house of Israel.
Jer 10:2 So says Jehovah, Do not learn the way of the nations, and do not be terrified at the signs of the heavens; for the nations are terrified at them.
Jer 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain; for one cuts a tree out of the forest with the axe, the work of the hands of the workman.
Jer 10:4 They adorn it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and hammers, so that it will not wobble.
Jer 10:5 They are like a rounded post, and they cannot speak. They must surely be lifted, because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them; for they cannot do evil nor good, for it is not in them.

Does this not remind you of our so loved christams trees?

Yes we have a lot of things that are not what they should be, even our Calender is off, don't let pine needles prick your conscience if you serve Christ Christ still loves the ignorant as Paul says if a man wants to be ignorrant let him be ignorant. Unless its a damnable heresy...

EDIT...nothing wrong with a tree unless your worshiping it. as they probably did back then...as i read that i see it is also the begining of an Idol to be made, but he goes on saying...

If and only if this is a Christmas tree, then it is nothing to a saint, especially if it is not used as a real Idol for worship..

1Co 8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol [is] nothing in the world, and that [there is] none other God but one.

So to Paul an Idol, well a real one is nothing...we serve God
