1 Cor. 12:27-28 (NLT)
Now all of you together are Christ's body, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it. [28] Here is a list of some of the members that God has placed in the body of Christ:

first are apostles,
second are prophets,
third are teachers,
then those who do miracles,
those who have the gift of healing,
those who can help others,
those who can get others to work together,
those who speak in unknown languages

1 Cor. 12:8-11 (NLT)
To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another he gives the gift of special knowledge. [9] The Spirit gives special faith to another, and to someone else he gives the power to heal the sick. [10] He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and to another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to know whether it is really the Spirit of God or another spirit that is speaking. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, and another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. [11] It is the one and only Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.

What is wrong with our churches, didn't god promise all that to us? where is it all? i don't belive that the church of Jesus christ show be giftless. I want those gifts for my self and my brothers and sisters in christ...

There has been a lot of false teachings in the slavic community (Russian/ Ukrainian) especially here on the west coast (USA). I believe that God has a mighty plan for us, but you could literally se satan trying to stop it, bringing up all sorts of false teachings and heresy to try to stop those blessings that God has prepared for us.

Pray for the Slavic community here in the United States. I believe that God has something great planned for us but satan is trying to get in the way.

yegoryeliz,

it is not just the church that you worship within that is under attack but all churches, all places of true worship, all gatherings and fellowships in the name of Christ are under attack.

the reason being is that the evil one is running scared, running scared because he knows that the end times are soon to be amongst us. running scared because he knows that we as Christians are deepening our own faith and being witnesses to the world and helping the Lord bring others to know His life and love. running scared because he knows that he has little time left to effect the lives of the saved and the uncertain. running scared because he knows that his influence has limits, whereas our Lord and saviour has unlimited power to help all of us live.

i particularly like the passage you selected because it is so true of today and so true of how we should be.

we are all part of the Body of Christ. we are all called to live within this body. all with differing gifts and talents, all working and using this talents in love. all united in Christ's love, with Christ loving and helping us all to live the life decreed. a life of service, a life of love, a life within the Body, united in love; living in fellowship and unity from Christ, with Christ and for Christ

so my prayer and my hope and dream is that we will become this one true body, and that together we may become true in love and that in this unity we will put the evil one further on the ropes, on the slippery slope to nothingness.

God bless

My parents are not letting me go to church anymore. Its sort of a long story, but it really makes me mad! URGH!!! I have been praying for them to change their minds, but I guess I just have to wait until God is ready. Just frustrating!

I dont trust churches anymore. Because they have so much power to lift people up they also have so much power to break people and mess them up. Most of the churches i go to are like this. You're expected to be a certain way and honestly I'm against it. There is too much corruption and i dont have faith in a large group of people. If you ask me it's smarter to get with small groups of people to discuss faith and worship God, it's generally more honest in my opinion if you are with friends.

Jesus is Lord!

Churches are rather odd these days. Lately I have been wonder why my church is spiritually lacking. but it's becuase it's all turning into religion. People dont follow what the Bible says, or more, what Jesus said. all it is is the pastor's word and you follow it. many times i wonder why it's like this but hey, if you really want some powerful stuff, have some Bible discussions/prayers with friends and pray, pray, pray, it could be so much better than just sitting on a pew in church. Well yegor, all I can say is, people don't follow the Bible that's what causes most of it.
About the false doctrines, well God did say in the Bible taht they will happen, but again, people are not spiritually stable to realize some things so that's why they run after easier way out. about encounter, dont worry about it. it will fall down soon. they don't last long. but dont get caught up in any. God bless your soul.

Hey Tanya,
its not that im worried about the false doctrine, im worried about what is true... in the orriginal post talked about spirituall gifts, i just dont see them in the church.

Amen!

I will be continually praying with you for all the brother and sisters in christ. We may pray the scriptures together.

But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Luke 22:32

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. John 17:15

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.2 Thessalonians 3:1

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:Colossians 1:9-14

In  of JESUS the Christ, Our LORD.

><> ><> You are not alone in your prayers. We are praying that the promised power of God will change our locallity, will come in power on us, to powerfully refill us, equip us & give us ears to hear & eyes to see where & when He is moving. We do have the Gifts amongst us when we met together but not as freely as we believe God want us to be. We're not Slavic in this area so I think it's a word for His Church to hear. The devil wants to keep us docile, all of us. :thumbs_up
