Come before the throne of God with boldness

Time to get tenacious! Prepare to persevere! Better be bold! What am I talking about - war, lawsuits, sports, or even perhaps job-hunting? No, I'm talking about prayer. Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to, "Come before the throne of God with boldness, in order to obtain His mercy and grace." That's really good news. See, you ought to be careful and humble when you come before a king, and this is no ordinary king. Our God is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. In fact, in times past, if you valued your life, you should only come before the king once you are summoned.

Well my friend, consider Hebrews 4:16 your permanent summons from God. Not only that, but through the sacrifice of Christ you are now more than a servant; you are a child of God! So go to God in prayer boldly, with confidence, and persevere in your prayers. Be tenacious as you ask Him for all good things. Jesus told two different parables in the book of Luke that highlight His view on prayer. Luke 11 is about the persistent friend, and Luke 18 is about the bold widow. Chapter 18 begins with these words, "Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart." Take heart, God is not intimidated by your aggressive prayers. In fact, He welcomes them. Your Heavenly Father loves you and wants to pour showers of blessings upon you today. God be with you always...

Thank you for sharing this. One of my favorite biblical prayer examples is the prayer of Jabez.

1 Chronicles 4:10
Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.

I think its an amazing example of boldness at the throne of GOD. We should always seek forgiveness of our sins so we can continue on in boldness without the after-sin feelings of guilt, regret and so forth.
