The Lord is our shepard, always leading us in the best way and protecting us.

Psalm 23

The LORD Is My Shepherd

A Psalm of David.

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
3He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,[c]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

As an eagle stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, so GOD cares for his own.

Deuteronomy 32:10-12

10"He found him in a desert land,
and in the howling waste of the wilderness;
he encircled him, he cared for him,
he kept him as the apple of his eye.
11Like an eagle that stirs up its nest,
that flutters over its young,
spreading out its wings, catching them,
bearing them on its pinions,
12the LORD alone guided him,
no foreign god was with him.

As a father cares for his children, so GOD cares for his own; his love is everlasting

Psalm 103:8-18

8The LORD is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9He will not always chide,
nor will he keep his anger forever.

10He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities.
11For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;

12as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
13As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him.
14For he knows our frame;
he remembers that we are dust.

15As for man, his days are like grass;
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
16for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
and its place knows it no more.
17But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,

and his righteousness to children's children,
18to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments.

God always shelters those who put their trust in Him.

Psalm 91:1-2

My Refuge and My Fortress

1He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

God knows us most intimately; he holds and guides us by his hand

Psalm 139:1-12

Search Me, O God, and Know My Heart

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

1O LORD, you have searched me and known me!
2You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.

5You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.
7Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!

9If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11If I say, "Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,"
12even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.

The wicked appear to prosper for a time, while the righteous suffer; but actually GOD is always leading us in the best way; He comforts us with His presence

Psalm 73:23-24

23Nevertheless, I am continually with you;
you hold my right hand.
24You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will receive me to glory.

The sufferrings of the present time are not worth comparing with the coming glory.

Romans 8:18

8For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

God works all things together for our good

Romans 8:28

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Jesus, the good shepherd, died for his sheep; he knows, leads and protects each one; he gives us eternal security

John 10:11

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

God's grace is sufficient for every need

2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

God directs all things by his infinite wisdom and hi ways are beyond tracing out.

Romans 11:33-36

33Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

34"For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?"
35"Or who has given a gift to him
that he might be repaid?"

Cast your concerns on the Lord, for he will support you.

Psalm 55:22

Attend to me, and answer me;
I am restless in my complaint and I moan,

God's favor lasts for a lifetime. He turns weeping into rejoicing.

Psalm 30:4-5

4Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints,
and give thanks to his holy name.
5For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.

These are encouraging Comfort Verses from the Bible Chad, thank you for posting them...

This is an excerpt from Billy Grahams weekly email devotional. It's a geat testimony and example about Comfort Through God’s Word. Thought I would post it here..... God Bless

Comfort Through God’s Word
“When I have suffered physically, God has comforted me through His Word. I have trigeminal neuralgia, which doctors say causes some of the worst pain a person can experience. One time the pain in my face was so excruciating that I could take food only through a straw; some days I couldn’t even get the straw into my mouth. Desperate, I cried for God to take me to heaven.

I didn’t want to live. One Sunday morning, when the pain was especially severe, I turned to 2 Corinthians 12. I read of the Apostle Paul’s ‘thorn in the flesh,’ and I stopped at his words: ‘I take pleasure in infirmities.’ I said, ‘Lord, what did Paul mean? I have committed my pain to you. I have even praised you in the midst of it.

But I have never taken pleasure in it.’ Just then I was aware of God’s presence in a way that I had never experienced before. It was as if He
were assuring me that He would go through my affliction with me” (Millie
Stam).
