[AJAX] vB Autosave (Gmail style!)

This modification adds an AJAX autosave feature when using Quick Reply, New Reply, New Thread and Private Messaging. When writing a post/thread/PM, it is automatically saved every X minutes and automatically restored upon returning to the page. The entire process is invisible to the user and is a background process.

Multiple replies are saved and restored in the following manner. One new thread per forum, one reply per thread, one PM reply per PM and one new PM. If a saved post/thread/PM is found, the text is automatically restored to the reply field when the user returns to the page. So to restore a thread, they just visit the New Thread page in the forum in which it was being written, it will be there waiting. If they have posted the post/thread/PM and no longer want the saved content, they can manually delete it using a link which again uses AJAX. One click and it's instantly gone.

To remove old autosaved data which has not been deleted by it's author, a scheduled task runs daily which removes any autosaved data which is older than X days.

This modification adds 1 query per enabled page. This modification is not for redistribution or re-release.

Bibliasoft -- BibleFilter

Basically, every time a user types in a Bible Verse (e.g. John 1:1), it will automatically turn it into a link to the Bible Gateway's page for that specific verse. The filter will convert verses posted in various formats including, but not limited to: John 1:1 John 1.1 Joh 1:1 John_1.1 1John_1:1 1 John 1:1 NIV John 1:1 ESV John 1:1 KJV etc.

Instant New Thread Notification

Very simple, it adds instant email notification for forums. If you are subscribed to a forum using instant email notification, whenever a new thread is posted you will be sent an email containing the details and the thread text.

vBgallery - Highslide integration

Pictures in gallery will use the highslide integration.

vBMS : vBulletin Mail System

The vBulletin Mail System is a way to give users webmail access from your site. They can have a [email protected] address, send and receive emails and attachments, etc. Options such as mailbox quotas, limits on numbers/types of attachments, a message trailer ("Free mail at yourwebsite.com!") at the end of each message, etc. are all available as well.

Yet Another Award System

This is a Medals/Awards system. Admin can give members awards, and award icons will be displayed in member's profile, posts, as well as in a award list. This will become useful for future contests.

Chat Room

Possible chat room replacements:

Option #1: Demo of 123 Flash Chat
Option #2: Flash video chat software

I will figure a way to include the mp3 player, a nicer one than the current live chat mp3 player built in.

I think this is another brilliant idea too. Very useful.

With regards to the chat system, I firmly believe that members should not be allowed to use a different name or change their names when using chat. I do not think people should be allowed to be guests either as we would not know who they are if they behave in a bad way.

I like the idea of having a feature to just kick someone out if they being annoying, not enough to ban from room but just to warn them that they need to behave properly.

Praise God for giving you so many wonderful improvements for the site.

God bless you brother, the additions look awesome, as for the chat system, my mind is quite set on 123flashchat, it looks more appealing and I think their support will be better.

Something that was mentioned in chat and I think it is a good point. It would be good to be able to know when someone is replying like you do in instant messages. You see that the person is typing a message. At the present time we never know if anyone is actually typing.

I would definitely like to see this feature on TJ. I think it would really help a person like me who needs to compare verses or refer immediately.

And by the way Chad, I was trying to quote the entire post on Bibliasoft including the verse links but it stopped me. I've understood what the problem was but for a newbie, that might confuse him/her. Something you might want to look in the future.
