Concerned about my catholic brother

I have a growing concern about my brother...

He is a Catholic and is totally obsessed with what I consider to be cult literature. He is also obsessed with religious images, including that very creepy "image of divine mercy". He has his bedroom walls just covered with them.

What alarms me is that I have noticed a change in him, in his personality. It is a change for the worse. He has become more angry, self-absorbed, and condemming. He isolates himself a lot. He seems to believe anything that is preached on TV, no matter who preaches it. He has also lost his sense of humor. That I do miss!

On top of that, he reads this awful piece of literature called "Saint Faustina's Diary". Apparently, this 'Jesus' that 'appeared' to her takes pleasure in her 'mental and physical suffering'.

I feel as though my brother is headed for a spiritual disaster.

Please help,

Greetings Linden_Ivy,

first, it is important... well, it is totally necessary, that you seek the Lord....

for your own peace and joy, and draw close to him, that you stay strong in faith and love....

and seek Him that He may guide you, that He may give you words and direct your steps in everything you do.

Do this, and you will be better able to deal with things concerning your brother.

AND, pray. Continue in prayer, with thanksgiving, giving glory to God in Jesus Christ the Lord for all things, and praising His Holy name.

In fact, if you do only those few things, much will change.

Remember that it is not only your brother who the Lord is concerned about.... but also you, Linden_Ivy. For this reason, see the present situation as a time that you are required to draw closer to the Lord and learn of Him.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

As for all your brother is doing and saying and watching/listening to....
continue in prayer for him.

Let's ask the Lord to open your brother's eyes to see the falsity in things that are not of God and to expose the lies that he is listening to, that your brother will decide to NOT go the way of folly, following after vain things, and instead that your brother finds Jesus, who he needs to be set free.....

Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25

Bless you ...><>

Br. Bear

let us know how things progress and we can thank the Lord together!

The best you can do is to pray for him. And pray also for his salvation as many Roman Catholics are not saved.
