Confused, advice needed please

Hello,

As some of you may know I was involved in new age, mediums and tarot before I believed in GOD, the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

I know got rid of all those things and telling a friend that I'm not doing that anymore, because it's not right.
She's involved in this too. But she believes in GOD and does tarot.
She doesn't understand that I'm not doing that anymore.
She says that Jesus was clear-voyant, so clear-voyance, mediums and tarot is not against the Bible.

I'm confused. Not that I'm doubting, but I would like to know where she read that in the Bible, because I don't know the Bible that well yet. My pastor also adviced me to get rid of all those things, because it would be in the way in my relationship with GOD.
I feel that you can only trust on GOD, Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
And not on mediums anymore.


How can somebody combine those things ? Can anybody please help me ???

I searched for posts on TJ and found 3 now. They also say where in the Bible to read about this and that's it's wrong and why.

You CANNOT combine God and mediums, and your friend must be very confuesed to even think you can. God hates all those things.
You are correct the only one you can trust in is Jesus Christ, God The Father and the Holy Spirt there is no one else sister only one true God.

Your friend did not read it in the bible sister because its not in there, your friend must have her own fake version of the bible? or she is lying to you ?

Steer clear of all those things sister and have no fear , God is the only One you trust. :girl_hug:

when you come into the land that the lord your god is giving you, dont follow the disgusting practices of the nations that are there. dont sacrifice your children in the fires on your alters and dont let your people practice DIVINATION or look for OMENS or use SPELLS or CHARMS and dont let them consult the SPIRITS OF THE DEAD. the lord your god hates people who do these distgusting things, and that is why he is driving those nations out of the land as you advance, be completely faithful to the lord.

Thank you all for your replies ! :girl_hug: I've send her an e-mail explaining that GOD does forbid this ( she studies Theology.... ). And also that you can't use charms like those stones ( crystal etc ).
I gave all those things away.
She hasn't replied yet.

Sorry to bring this up again. But I'm still struggling with this....
That fact should tell me enough I think.. otherwise it wouldn't bother me so much.

We talked about it, be we still don't agree.
Next week I'll see her again. Should I beforehand tell her I don't want to talk or hear about the paranormal etc.?
Or should I just see her and try to convice her once more ? I also doubt about it if I should end the contact right now. It can be very well that I'm tempted to get involved with it again, especially when I'm at her house.

Can somebody help me with this issue ? I strongly feel I should end the contact, but on the other hand I think it might be too drastic and maybe I should give it another try to convice her it's not right.

If I may suggest this to you...

In everything you do, pray. Yes, pray. Although it may be advised to not see this person again, you must pray.... always...

To be ever mindful of the Lord and to always be in communion with Him..... in prayer, is the most vital part of your daily walk. If you do not see this person, you will have some other situation to 'deal' with, so, remain prayerful, giving thanks to the Lord... and enjoying His constant love to you, my sister.

In regards to this person, if you do see her again, be prayerful that you can be a light for Jesus in her darkness... that by your life, she will see the way, the living way, Jesus Christ the Lord, your Lord and Saviour... in you. Do not be afraid of her, or anything she believes. It is Jesus who you believe... and as you look to Him, there is no fear of darkness, as He has brought you into His wonderful light and life... He has filled you with His light and life... that you may know Him, and shine His light for others to see.

Mirjam. You must continue in prayer... and let your praying be a sweet communion with Jesus. Everyday we are faced with something to overcome. The visit with your friend is a very obvious situation... something that you know is there... and for that reason, you can see what it is all about, without looking.... it is obvious.... but it is the little situations everyday, that don't make a big noise, that don't appear so obvious, that you, and I, must always overcome... for it is the little and subtle things that can sneak into our way of thinking, and bit by bit, sink the ship.... unless we keep in communion with the Lord, in fellowship with Him by His Spirit which He has given us, who believe.

Be prayerful.... always.

If you do see your friend... remember too that you are the minister of the Lord... you are not there to learn from her nor partake in her ways, but to minister grace unto her, as the Lord, by the Holy Ghost, leads you.

Tell her all that the Lord is doing in your life, both big and small.... let her see something of Him.... rather than trying to convince her of her wrong, show her Jesus in you, my sister ... for it is in this that she will desire Him...

May you be strengthened daily and be constantly blessed with the joy of the Lord, and I pray that the joy you have in Jesus is contagious... that others you are with, will have the fragrance of the Lord long after you leave... and be drawn to Him by your life in Him.

hi!!!!! yes better tell your friend to stop that thing!!!! its strictly prohibited to do it anyway it is against with the first commandment!!!!! i have read a lot bout this in the bible it is strictly forbidden to practice divination like having mediums or tarots. It is needed to depend on God alone not with that evil stuffs.
