Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should. Colossians 4:2-4 NLT

Paul was hardly a shy missionary, but even he asked his fellow believers to pray for him to have opportunities to share the Gospel boldly. He didn’t take his boldness or the opportunities to preach for granted. And since he was so committed to sharing the Gospel, he humbly asked others for their prayer support.

If you aren’t sure where to start when talking about Jesus, consider starting with a simple prayer asking God for opportunities and for a bold confidence to speak. Even when Paul was in chains for the Gospel, he believed that God could still give him opportunities to share His love with others. Whatever your limitations are today, you can join Paul in faith and hope, trusting that God can bring opportunities your way to share His plan of salvation.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to make the most of every opportunity to share the mystery of Your love and salvation with others.
