Just sharing a few things we know and news from several sources this week.

We all know Covid-19 started in China in Wuhan in December 2019.

It soon became a world pandemic, 1.5 million people caught the virus, 100,000 have died as a result in the world.

China, New Zealand and Israel seemed to have managed the virus better than most.

This last week a University in Australia stated that following their tests, they have no doubts that the virus didn't come from bats, from animals or from a wet market in Wuhan. They state that the world should not rule out this was man made and it should be investigated fully.

The world is suspicious of China regarding how the virus started, but there are many other reasons China is being watched due to its involvement with man made islands in the south China sea. The USA is threatening sanctions in China at this time, for these reasons and the situation between China and Hong Kong, plus the fact that China came out of covid so quickly, it is easy to be suspicious as they are the only country that has really gained from pandemic.

China's leader Xi says sanctions will not stop 'China's dominance in the world market'.

Today I read the following on the BBC news App... that a Chinese firm is 99% confident that they have a working Coronavirus vaccine!

A major new Australian study of COVID-19 has found that it seems specially adapted to infect human cells, casting some doubt on whether it emerged in bats or pangolins when it first erupted in China.

As a consequence, the scientists behind the study say, a “possibility which still cannot be excluded is that SARSCoV-2 was created by a recombination event that occurred inadvertently or consciously in a laboratory handling coronaviruses, with the new virus then accidentally released into the local human population"

"The virus's ability to bind protein on human cells was far greater than its ability to bind the same protein in bats, which argues against bats being a direct source of the human virus."

The study cast doubt on the idea that it emerged with pangolins, an ant-eater very popular with some Chinese cooks.

"While it has been suggested by some Chinese scientists that the COVID-19 virus might have been transmitted to humans from pangolins, currently available data does not support this idea," Professor Petrovsky says.
