I know there have been several comments about posting articles written by others, and that we should write or post our own "heart" or "thoughts". I guess it may appear to some or even many that those who post articles written by someone else are lacking something because they are not posting their own writing or teachings. I thought that all Truth comes from God via the Holy Spirit.

Now I will speak "from my heart". It's not about me and this may upset some apple carts, but it's not about you either. Truth is Truth the way or thing in which it is articulated is of the very least importance. It is wisdom that you see at work in many of these such cases. Let me explain, If there is a need for some knowledge on a certain subject and I know of someone who by the inspiration and revelation of the Holy Spirit has written an essay or article addressing and satisfying the need, wouldn't I be wise to utilize it? Now apart from the need to revise or interpret, to knowingly write what has already been written seems to be wasteful in the least and may even be prideful.

I am not a writer, nor am I called to be such. However I am called to be a servant and a brother. I will continue to share what I have with whoever is in need and this includes articles and essays written by others. I know there are some others here who have this same heart and attitude. So please do not assume that because they "cut and paste" that they are lacking inspiration from the Holy Spirit. It may very well be that self preservation is what is lacking and maybe the gift of wisdom flowing freely and more fully.

That's an excellent post brother. I agree 100% with you. I post articles from gotquestions.org, one of the best Christian resource sites you'll ever find. They are filled with the Holy Spirit to write great articles on hundreds of commonly asked questions. Articles that I could never dream of writing myself, it is not my calling (as of yet if it ever will be) but it is clearly for them.

The Holy Spirit is the Author of the Book of Life, but also the one who annoints those gifted writers who were called to do just that, write. There is nothing wrong with posting others' articles here on Talk Jesus, so long as the article is Truth 100% being annointed by the Spirit, no less.

Amen brothers. I agree with you both. I personally have been helped and encouraged by these writings from Holy Spirit inspired writers. I too, if I come across an article and I sense the Holy Spirit telling me to post it here, do as I'm told. We don't know who else needs to hear that word.

Praise the Lord for Talk Jesus and the freedom the Holy Spirit has here. :sun:

Jiggy do you have a bug in my house lol... what I mean by that is I was just saying to my hubby that i like when people write it themselves..no dont get me wrong I LOVE learning so regardless of who wrote it if its food I eat it..

I think the Holy Spirit leads us all in different ways and when you can share something that others wrote its so awesome. It is also awesome to see the gift of writing that people have here..

Now for not being called as a writer I think you write very good :)

And if what I posted to shortlady seemed to be putting down posting what soemone else wrote as bad..I am sorry I didnt mean it.. I was trying to give shortlady a compliment not insult anyone..

I enjoy reading everyones posts when guided by the Holy Spirit regardless of who the author is.

If I offended I am truly sorry

I am sorry Jesuslovesu, but I don't think I have read that post yet or at least I don't remember it. I didn't write the post because of any offense, rather I wrote it to give understanding concerning the inspiring work of the Holy Ghost.

Hello dear friends,

I really enjoyed your thoughts on "cut & paste". This really was a good post Jiggy. Working in a library I know the importance of giving credit where credit is due. I myself am not a good writer and usually need help from other sources to help me to express my heart and thoughts. I do my best though to cite where I'm getting my quote from.

But what I like to say that all the articles that I have read so far whether they were personally written or quoted by another source have been very much a blessing to me. They have encouraged, enlightened as well as taught me. I look forward to read more so I can stretch and grow in a closer relationship with Jesus. God bless.
