RIGHTEOUSNESS
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us,
so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21
FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, why do you insist on keeping those worn, outdated clothes in your closet? Why settle for a pauper's rags when I have given you the garments of royalty? You didn't earn them, and you can't buy them. I paid for them with My blood. I bought you, My child. You are in "right standing" with the Father because of My death on the cross. Wear your robe of righteousness well. It's My gift of love to you.
A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
Lord, there is no one righteous except You. No one can stand before Your goodness and purity. Yet, because of Jesus, You have made me the righteousness of God. You have given me a new set of clothes, pure and white. Thank You for Your righteousness.
SIMPLE TRUTH
When God sets His heart to love us, He never changes His mind.
