“Stupid Pet Tricks” was introduced on NBC’s Late Night with David Letterman in the early 1980s. Some of them were cute and clever but many of them were … stupid. For decades there have been Stupid Prophecy Tricks to get Christians to believe that we are living in the last days. While it didn’t start with Hal Lindsey’s The Late Great Planet Earth in 1970, it continued with bar codes being the mark of the beast, red-looking “blood moons” as signs of the end, the discovery of a supposed red heifer for animal sacrifices in the rebuilt temple, and the latest Stupid Prophecy Trick is the claim that beasts from the book of Revelation have been placed in front of the United Nations........

Sorry I thought I had included the link.

Eventually, Tyndale was betrayed by Henry Phillips to authorities representing the Holy Roman Empire. He was seized in Antwerp in 1535 and held in the castle of Vilvoorde (Filford) near Brussels. Some suspect that Phillips was hired by Bishop Stokesley to gain Tyndale’s confidence and then betray him. He was tried on a charge of heresy in 1536 and was found guilty and condemned to be burned to death, despite Thomas Cromwell’s intercession on his behalf. Tyndale “was strangled to death while tied at the stake, and then his dead body was burned.
But it wasn’t the end. There was no rapture. There was no rescue. There was only obedience and God’s work. The result?:

Tyndale’s translation of the Bible was used for subsequent English translations, including the Great Bible and the Bishops’ Bible, authorized by the Church of England. In 1611 after seven years of work, the 47 scholars who produced the King James Version drew significantly from Tyndale’s original work and other translations that descended from his.
Go and do likewise with whatever gifts and talents God has given you. Stop focusing on some never-ending claim that the end is near and get to work!

'For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
.. Looking for that blessed hope,
.... and the glorious appearing
...... of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity,
and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.'
(Tit 2:11-14)

Hello @Hitch,

The hope of 1 Thessalonians 4:1-13, which will take place at the coming of the Lord, commonly referred to as, 'the rapture', is not my hope, as a member of the church which is His Body of Ephesians 1:22-23. So I am not looking for that. I look for His 'appearing' in glory, which will take place immediately prior to that I believe,:when the members of the church which is His Body will appear with Him there, for He is their life (Colossians 3:4).

This will take place at a time of God's choosing, as with everything else associated with the time to come.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus

I hope you remember that to accomplish these things Jesus said it was better for us that He NOT be here (earth) in person.

Hello @Hitch,

Are you referring to:-

'Nevertheless I tell you the truth;
It is expedient for you that I go away:
for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you;
but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.
And when He is come,
He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Of sin, because they believe not on Me;
Of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and ye see me no more;
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come,
He will guide you into all truth:
for He shall not speak of Himself;
but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak:
and he will shew you things to come.
He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine,
and shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father hath are Mine:
therefore said I, that He shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
(Joh 16:7-15)

Exactly , Christ in session, and the Holy Spirit ministering on earth is the best possible situation for the fulfillment of the great commission. So long as the kingdom is growing Christ will remain seated at the Right Hand of Power, and there is no force that is able to stop that growth only the Father can announce that the time has come. the kingdom of God is NOT the glorified Christ sitting in a room in Jerusalem for 1,000 years, it is righteous peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. This is and always was the reality and purpose of the kingdom. Just as there is and has been but ONE gospel .
Remember there is nothing that can be done or happen that can make Christ more royal, more of a king, than He is this day. Especially NOT re-entering history and being surrounded by sin and death ,as second time. He controls all the power there is from the highest seat there is.

Its a short step to this precious Word:

5 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

It doesn't take a genius (just people who look out at world events and who know Scripture) to be able to see that we are not only in the last days, but in the last hours of the last day.

I can't tell by the way you present this...are you giving us information about what is going on, or just mocking the facts of Scripture? To be honest, you seem to be mocking...I do hope you understand what Peter said about mockers...
