Hello,

Can anyone help me with finding texts in the Bible concerning dealing with feelings of worries and insecurity ?

I worry very soon and have really bad migraines of it now and then. And I'm also insecure about myself, like in my new job I'm afraid to make mistakes, it's paralizing me. I might not even make it through the trial period because I'm too insecure.
I know I should not worry for the day of tomorrow and that I should stay calm in every situation, but it's hard for me and I would like to know more what's in the Bible about this, so I can memorize it.
Thank you.

Worry and insecurities Biblical answer

[HIGH-LIGHT][/HIGH-LIGHT]Hello. Earlier today my wife nancy e-mailed me your post but I could not find it. I'm glade I did. My upion about worry i would probably say would be in Matthew 6:25-34, I'll come back to that here in just a bit. The part about your thread that seem bothersome is the insecurity. Here something to think about. One of the cunning tricks of the devil and his yahoo clan is to make CONFUSION seems as insecurity. It makes the individual seem as their less than. It also gives them the thought of " This is something I got myself into or I'm in , how can I , being the cataless of this trick, get myself out. Most of the time our insecurity's are just simply lack of experience and or training. But now confusion well that's a horse of a different color just with the same face and tail. Many pondering thoughts, situation that seem to need quick fast solution, that most of the time really need patient and well thought out answer that give us higher probabilities of first time successes. If there's. Many thoughts firing off in ones brain, by resitting scripture out loud or to the point that the ears can hear, well that brings Jesus and the Word of God into the formula, and that's to your advatage. So here's some verses on confusion and take your time and pray to Jesus to help you through this trying time. And you'll see he'll show up and fight all your battles for you.
On worry
*John 14:1*Php 4:6-7,19*Col 3:15*MATTHEW 6:25-34 This is our Lord preaching right here, out standing peace.
On confusion or being confused
*Psa 32:8;55:23; 119:165
*Proverbs 3:5-6
*1 Cor 14:33a
*2 Timothy 1:7
*James 1:5;3:16-18
*1 Peter 4:12-13
I'd like to leave you with acouple good nuggets that I've picked up over the last years or so
Your safe and sound not because of who you are, but because of who's you are
Now this nugget is you taking time to first, BE A SOWER and second to HARVEST or reap that which you have sowen
Sow a thought
Reap a action
Sow a action
Reap a habite
Sow a habite
Reap a character
Sow a character
Reap a destiny
I hope this will help you in your endeavor, may the Lord bless you in all you do. Yort (TROY)

Be still and know he is God....second remind yourself of who you are in Christ Jesus.

Limiting Anxious Feelings
Neil Anderson

February 9

1 Peter 5:7 NIV
Cast all your anxiety on Him [God] because He cares for you

Let's assume you have sought God's will for a certain direction, and you believe that He has led you to make specific plans. The problem is you are still worried about whether your plans will come about as you have hoped. When I'm facing such situations, I try to follow the six steps described below to limit my anxious feelings.

Hey Mirjam,

Those fears can really be overwhelming and I hope those scriptures that the others gave you helped you. I pray that those scripture will pentrate right to the deeps of your heart and minister peace unto you.

God Bless you, Trish

Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Matt 6:31-34

We must let today´s own troubles be sufficient for today. It is a matter of trust:

Let your conversation(i.e. manner of living) be without covetousness(i.e. selfish desires); and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Heb 13:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Prov 3:5-6

I've suffered with a lot of insecurity myself and still do suffer with it. We suffer because of our thoughts to put it more accurately we suffer because we reason too much at times more than what is reasonable. The devil puts thoughts of insecurity in our mind and we go on thinking the same way, trust god and please don't be fooled by what the devils tell you or don't believe the way he makes you feel. Whenever you feel a negative thought or a thought thats going to make you insecure come your way Just say "shut up satan" and move on. It works for me hope it helps you too

Thank you.

The same God that gave us commandments such as "do not commit adultery", "do not murder", said "do not worry". It's a violation of our relationship to God to question His authority by worrying.

Has any good ever come out any worrying that you've ever done? Worry only compartmentalizes us and makes us unable to do what we set out to do. If you are worried about a problem, what you need to do is simply trust the Lord and do good.

The word "worry" comes form a word that means "to divide". When you worry, you divide your energy. Do you worry? I worry about you if you don't worry! All of us worry, but we shouldn't. Jesus commands us half a dozen times "do not worry". When we worry about a situation, the problem gets us, instead of us getting it.

Jesus is not afraid of the things that cause us fear. He never said "don't bring your fears to me". Instead, he said "I'm not afraid of the things that cause you fear. Bring your fears to me".

Father, right now, we offer Mirjam's fears, her worries to You. We lay them at Your feet. And we ask that as you give her more courage as she looks to You, the One Who knows no fear, You set her free.

Indeed. Let us have more faith in our merciful God than in our problems and shortcomings. If we but keep our focus on Him we will walk on the waves of life's waters.

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. Psalms 56:3

We all face some kind of fear, and if we haven't yet the time will come.
Don't think you are alone because you face insecurity and fear, it is what we do about it that makes the difference.

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. When fear takes control over your thoughts, that is when you have to pray and give it to your Heavenly Father. James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Just recently when fear inner in my thoughts, I could not even think, but the precious name of Jesus, I stand upon, and it was sufficient. All day as fear inner I said "No, in the precious name of Jesus. That night I sleeped through the night.

His grace will be suffient enough to help you through this hun. You are not alone dealing with thoughts, but Jesus conqueror it and He will help you.

God Bless, Trish
