Death really doesn’t scare me.

I am ready to go home. With the Lord.

My life is the same daily. I am tired. I am now old. Very physical job. Very tired.

I’m truly ready to go.

Is rather be with the father then suffer daily here on earth.

I’m not at all suicidal. Not even close.

But if I were to die I would be very happy.

Greetings @Frank359

Blessings grace and peace be unto you

You are not that old brother.

Longing for our eternal home, yearning to to be with our Lord is beautiful.

But He may have plans for you on earth yet

Only a little while
Of walking with weary feet,
Patiently over the thorny way
That leads to the golden street.

Suffer if God shall will,
And work for Him while we may,
From Calvary’s cross to Zion’s crown,
Is only a little way.

Only a little while,
For toiling a few short days,
And then comes the rest, the quiet rest,
Eternity’s endless praise*

Sounds like Paul's writing

Philippians 1:20-26 KJV
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. [21] For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. [22] But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. [23] For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: [24] Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. [25] And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; [26] That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

Jesus was not about the whole crucifixion thing either, Gethsemane, but He went on anyhow for us. We all have our own crosses to bear, are we going to bear them bumming or giving thanks that Jesus has overcome and that there is more than we can imagine more than this?

ROFL At 59 you're still a kid. Don't give up now! You've time for a whole new career! Put yourself in Jesus way and find out all of the joys He has for you here before you go home. You want it all before you're done here. And why not? It all belongs to you.

Brother, I can empathize with you. It is good to long for our eternal home. Father, I pray you would encourage and strengthen my brother's heart. That he would find afresh joy in you and that love that would "renew his youth like the eagle's" until such time as it is time as your course for him is done.
