I was reading the self-defense thread, and thought of this.
Our youth chorus travels outside our home state about twice a year. They
are accompianed by the 2 youth ministers, and 6-8 trusted chaperones. Some of these kids have become my friends, and it is an honor to be apart of
teaching them about Jesus. There is so much potential for good things
in this group.
If some how, one of the busess was hijacked, or a kidnapping was attempted, do I have the right to use any means up to and including lethal
force to stop this. About 90 percent of our group are baptized, faithful,
teenagers. We would be sending an unsaved person to Hell.
I hope this never comes up, but todays world can be dangerous sometimes.
For me the answer is YES. I am not a shepherd, I am a sheepdog. Our ministers do a fantastic job doing what shepherds are supposed to do, and
I am so happy to assist them.
Assisting them mean protecting them if neccassary, not only the children
but the adults also. Shepherds stand between the flock and the wolves,
the sheepdog stands between the shephard and the wolves.
I can't see facing a parent and saying I could have saved your child but
I chose not too.
would you kill to protect your loved ones? If It meant a soul would go to
Hell forever?
I look forward to your responses.
I look forward to your thoughts.
