BBC News - Murderer dubbed potential 'Ripper' by judge faces whole-life term
Are people demon posessed today? How common is it? I read in the gospels and Acts there seemed to be at least one demon posessed person in every town.
I don't think I've led a sheltered life but I've never come come across anyone I'd suspect as posessed. I've known devil worshipers and Wicken but they didn't come across as posessed. Well not like I read in the gospels.
Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Mark 9:20-22 NKJV
And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. Mark 5:2-5 NKJV
How common and prevalent is this condition?
