The woman who introduced me to GOD back in 2014 asked me if I wanted to join in a Friday-Saturday-Sunday gathering of 'Christians' from the group of Methodist churches she preaches at. As she is an eager listener to my revelations I agreed and looked forward to nice enlightening discussions. Was I wrong!
The event was led by a male Methodist minister and there were about 29 of us in total. It was held in a seaside town once famous but gone downhill after the beach filled with mud and reeds and halted the ferries across to the other towns.
One woman claimed to be evolved from apes! She said Cain got his wife from an ape family! Everything is evolving and will do so eternally!
Another could no more grasp Reation and the geysers that started the flood than I can grasp a red hot poker!
Worse was the leader had decided to concentrate on Psalm 23. We were supposed to dissect it word for word ad nauseum! We had morning, afternoon and evening session on Psalm 23 until I was sick of it!
I ought to have expected something similar as about 7 years ago for a short while I attended a very small, very old Primitive Methodist church and was invited to a fellowship afternoon where the leader concentrated on a single verse for a full hour!
THe next week we sat down and he wanted to do that verse again! I protested there was a lot more Bible we could look at but was overruled so I sat fuming. I didn't go again.
The Sunday church service had a congregation of 6 but has since shut down.
My woman friend told me two of her circuit churches I had attended had closed down in 2024!
If only preachers and ministers would preach some GOSPEL maybe churches wouldn't die!
