not sure what to put - i'm struggling as i often seem to be. I would like to hear from God at this particular time. The person who i would normally speak with is away. Not sure if i should have put this as a prayer request.

Dear Halva,

The first thing that came to my heart for you, Halva is that HIS HEART is for you. Going through a season of struggle and loneliness is hard but if we just press unto the Lord as did the woman who was sick for 12 years (Matthew 9:20-22), we can find hope, peace, healing and a life restored.

A quote from Mart De Haan: “If I’ve learned anything over the years it’s that there is a delicate, complex relationship between body, soul, and spirit. We are so wonderfully, mysteriously, and fearfully made that a disruption in our physical health can cloud our minds, just as a failure of spirit can affect the chemistry of our body. Just as amazingly, our Creator has built into us a certain capacity for self-healing, while leaving us dependent on Him alone for the real answers to the most important questions.”

He is the Alpha & the Omega ... so whatever the need, he is the great I AM. I will certainly keep you in my prayers. Remember dear one, HE delights in you for you are dear to HIS HEART and the apple of HIS eye.

Father in Heaven I lift up Halva to you. As she calls upon You, You will answer her; turn Your ear to her and hear her prayer. Show her the wonders of Your great love for her. For You have saved, Halva, by Your great right hand for there she has take refuge in You from their foes. Keep her as the apple of Your eye and hide her in the shadow of your wings. In Jesus name I pray ... AMEN (Psalm 17:6 - 8)

Blessings,
Snowrose

Halva,

Remember that you are never alone, even though it looks and feels like it, you have look beyond to what Jesus tells you :

" I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Heb 13:5)

keep that going in your heart
because I see that since that person has been away, you are feeling lonely.. but the reality is that you are not alone, Jesus is with you where you are and God has encamped angels of light near you!
(Psalm 34)

love in Christ

We all struggle to some degree or another. This is not to lessen your issue; it is very good that you realize you are struggling and willing to reach out to someone. There are plenty of wonderful souls here at T.J.'s who can help. I have often found that most struggles come from thinking about or living with untruths. If you don't feel like discussing your struggle on this open forum. I would be glad to have you PM (Private Message) me if you wish.
God Bless

thank you for taking the time to reply. Snowrose, I don't know if you truly felt that that word was for me, or was a general word for believers as I thought I saw something about it on a blog, but then couldn't find it again.
I am just feeling worse, sensing that i have sinned. I have struggled with self-loathing and self-neglect. Anyway, I had only hoped that there might be a word that would speak, but i think i'm probably being unreasonable in my expectation. I am probably going to take some time out just doing different things.

Hello Halva,

I genuinely felt that for you. I actually wrote something like that in my blog but this is something for you. It is hard to get up when you fall down. Believe me I know. I fell down so many times it’s not funny. But the Lord has been so faithful, He saw something in me I didn’t or couldn’t see. But I had some godly friends who were there for me who lifted me up with encouragement and prayer. I want to do that for you.

At this moment, you don’t see who really are ... a true daughter of the most high God and he delights in you, my dear one. You have such strength and as funny as this may sound; when I read your post I actually thought of the woman reaching towards Jesus. Keep on pressing on ... go deeper and deeper into the waters of faith. You will not be disappointed He is the I AM, the living water.

Father I thank you and praise you that we are able to run to You as children who have failed and can find forgiveness, encouragement and healing in Your Arms. I lift up Halva to you... as she dwells in the shelter of the Most High, give her rest for she trusts in You. Because she loves You, You will rescue her. Command Your angels concerning her and to guard her in all her ways. (Psalm 91) Bring healing, strength and hope to her, Father and restore to her the joy of Your salvation. I pray in Jesus’ Name.

Blessings,
Snowrose

Conviction is of God but condemnation is not. Confess, repent and come to Him by faith believing He accepts you on the basis of Christ's shed blood.
What you need my friend is to simply return to the basics:
1. Pray- talk to God believing He hears and believing He wants to move on your behalf.
2. Read the Word. Ask the Holy Spirit (our Teacher) to give you revelation in it's meaning and how to apply it in your life.
3. Worship God. Spend an hour or two pouring out your heart to Him.

If you do these things though they seem dry and dead at first soon you will find that you sewing to the Spirit produces real fruit; renewed fellowship with God, godly thoughts patterns and a genuine sense of His manifest presence .
I will be praying for you my friend!
Many blessings in Jesus Name,
your brother Larry.

There you go, Helva, good and godly advise -- Prayer, His Word and Worship. Thank you Boanerges for your words of encouragement.

I pray that you are feeling more at peace. I was just going to reply to you and say that whenever we feel anxious etc the only way is to seek the Lord out and go back to His loving arms and wrap ourselves up in Him so that all we hear is His heart beat and the still small voice. While thinking about my reply the Lord did put on my heart a scripture Isaiah 1:18.

I am very sorry to hear that you are stuggeling and having a difficult time right now. But please know friend, that it is okay to feel down and to struggle at times, all christians have those times in life, the part you have to keep in your heart and mind dear friend, is just how much God loves you, and is always there, even when sometimes it feels like our prayers do not get any further than the ceiling.

I am glad to hear that you have someone that you can talk to about things, that is so very important. Know that it is always okay to feel this way, just keeping praying and asking the lord for help and HE will be there. Blessings to you friend.

I just want to say that I really really appreciate your prayers and words of support and the fact that you took the time out to read my thread and be so loving to me.

May the word of God that tells us in psalm encourage you today.
Times that I am overwhelmed I looked to the lord.
keep your focus on God and he is with you because he has promised never to leave you nor forsake you.
Praying for you

Hi halva,

I hope you're feeling better now. You received many kind, biblical based responses here as well.

I'm not sure what you do to surrender yourself to GOD in times of distress, but I can tell you from experience that reading the Word and listening to worship music is an awesome thing, not to mention most importantly prayer itself.

Worship music is great when you just want to relax and be in the song, worshiping GOD.
