do animals go to heaven and hell too?

Hey Touch,

Let me throw a few verses at you and you can draw your own conclusions ( remembering that animals were sacrificed in the Old Testament ):

Psalm 36:6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgements are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

Psalm 73:22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.

Proverbs 12:10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

Ecclesiastes 3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Isaiah 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

Isaiah 35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

Jeremiah 9:10 For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.

Jeremiah 9:11 And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.

Jeremiah 21:6 And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.

Often, the beasts were not spared when God destroyed cities of sinful people.

Jeremiah 14:21 For thus saith the Lord God; How much more when I send my four sore judgements upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?

I Corinthians 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

Revelation 4:7 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

wow, see, there's much reference to beast, then there's the odd lion thrown in, but what about the rabbits, the dogs, the cats, and the likes? or what about a well mannered snake?

New Heaven and Earth

In Eden God created beast and man and liked His work. I can't see any reason animals will not be part of the new world.

Gen 1:31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

It is commonly believed that Isaiah 11 speaks about the millennial reign on Earth and we can see the animals in a state of peace as they were, most likely, in Eden.

Isa 11:6-8 "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. (7) The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. (8) The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den.

I can see no reason why this won't continue into the new Earth.

God will dwell here with us so many say Heaven will come to Earth.
This would mean there are animals in Heaven I suppose.

Rev 21:2-3 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (3) And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

I agree with aqua and I am reinforcing some scripture that he quoted:

In many places Revelation is an exspansion of Isaiah and both are prohectic of the new world.

In Isaiah Chapters 65 and 66 the New Heavens and the New Earth are explained.

Isaiah 65:25
25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox,
and dust will be the serpent’s food.
They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,”
says the LORD.

I know that many will disagree with me but, I feel that since we are instructed that we will shall share the glory of the Lord and, there is no impossiblities in heaven, I think all my pets will be there with me and, of course, you too!

Animals aren't subject to judgement like we are, so they don't "go" to one or the other. But when God unveils the new Earth, I see no reason why animals wouldn't be a part of it.

Do our pets and like goto heaven with us? Bible doesnt say.

Yes the bible speaks about animals in new earth (Isaiah 65:25).. but this could be entirely a allegory of heaven. Notice also it says youngest will die in 100 year old? (Isaiah 65:20) Obviously this is some sort of metaphora because heaven is supposed to be eternal and no one dies there. So dont take it literally.. its just allegory.

Animals will be in Heaven, but I doubt hell. Animals don't have a soul. They have no concept of "good or evil" so they won't be judged.
