i have a carer daily who does what i cannot do....making bed, showering, dressing... One area which is very uncomfortable, distressing and less than satisfying is handwriting. Often i sell stuff and need to post. The courier calls in ok, no problem there. But addressing the parcel is a mission.

My usual carer writes for me but a new carer came today. She flatly refused to do any like this that is not specified in my official company (who hires the carers) care plan.

Do you bend the rules?

If helping someone less fortunate then I is bending a rule I will, if bending the rule means greater profit for I certainly not. SO I sure of heck would of been a pleasure to help you. For the most Part I try to stay with in the rules but I also use some common sense as in today crazy society they have so many stupid rules that make absolutely no sense whats so ever, Like just the other day I got a ticket for no seat belt, it just something I do not think about most of the time.

I bend the rules as a matter of course...I'm always pushing the envelope of what is allowed and what is not... I've always seen rules as guidelines not concrete walls... Jesus is my standard and I will not do anything that will hurt Him, so He becomes my boundaries..

kinda like you've replaced worldly rules for Biblical ones. i like that, but i see an attitude similar to my own. Probably it's a male thing but isn't a dare or challenge to be "flexible"

Their are some people that look for way to get the job done and their other people who look for way to avoid do anything but the very least amount they are required to, You seem to have encountered the second group IMO

It is also a way of problem solving..For example The problem is I have to do it your way but I see a more efficient and fun way to accomplish the thing, but the way I see is not allowed.....Well......If its accomplished, the way it's done is not important as long as it is still pleasing to Father...

cool, one thing ladies and gentlemen, about our friend, is you need to take in his entire context....it is the last four words, that tied it all together. :)
