I was on a site, looking through profiles, when I found a girl's profile that contained awful things about God.

"Everything and everyone affiliated with God: Choke on his blood dripping from the crucifix... Behead you with the bible...FATHER, ABOVE, LOOK DOWN, DENY ME."

She was saying things along the lines of that. I send her a comment, telling her that is very disrespectful. It is fine to have opinions on religion but this is taking it just too far. I was extremely offended. I told her blasphemy is a sin, and the things she was saying (I will not post the rest here because of extreme sexual content) were going to make her go to hell. She replied:

"You're so nice. Letting me go to Hell, the place where there are no Christians and no God. I love it!! Yeh, it is direspectful, but the word "God" doesn't deserve respect and if God was real, I wouldn't give him respect anyways. Neither God nor Satan are real. I hate God and I don't want to re-direct my anger. God deserves it, if he's/she's/it's real."

I was so appaled. What do you say to these kind of people? I'm not looking to convert them, I'm looking to show them how horrible this makes others feel.

All sin is disrespect towards God and everyone not saved is going to hell. That means she is no different than any other human beeing. She needs Jesus as much as any of us.

It sound to me like she is hurt. You should greet her with love and not law.
God is the one who judges. Jesus is the one who forgives. We are to forgive others and love them like Jesus has forgiven us and loved us. Judgement belongs to the lord, we have no right to make any judgement because we have been pardoned. We are to love people unconditionaly like Jesus loved us unconditionaly

TheGreek:

First, it's true in just about all the cases of these people that they don't know the real Jesus. That might be a good starting place with them.

You should be looking to convert them since we should all be looking to convert everyone. (Mt.28:19-20). We should show them the love of Christ, find out why they're hurting, and tell them the truth with love.

In Yahweh's Love and Truth,

Christ's Serf

I am in agreement with chinaski. It sounds as if this girl is hurt and is venting her feelings and emotions. Proverbs12:25 tells us "An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up."

Jesus showed us that at times stern words showing the sin of man was needed but other times he showed mercy and love because it was what they needed. I'm reminded the woman who was brought to her to be judged and stoned, how his words of love and forgivness changed this womans life.

Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"

"No one, sir," she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin." John 8:10-11

Lets follow His example. God Bless You

In His Love

I also agree with chinaski, love them like Jesus.

I'm reminded of something I've heard about atheists. They are usually mad at God, and yet don't believe He exists. How can you be mad at God for not existing? Somewhere in the deepest part of that girls anguished heart, she really believes in God. She just needs to be shown the Way.

Well... In life your going to meet alot of people who dont share te same views and opinions as you. This person, could be some immature teen, who likes to say nasty things like this to gain attention. Maybe she gets a kick out of it.. She might be a goth, or could have something personal against christians, because maybe we dont agree with her lifestyle..

I mean, its actually sad... She's obviously an athiest who doesnt believe in anything.. Let her go.
She's got problems...

Well said Chinaski. Jesus prayed "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" Lets follow His example, amen.

As terrible as all of that is...

I feel that anyone who acknowledges God so much is possibly closer to finding the path to Jesus and salvation than someone who denys God's existence and does not think on the topic at all.

For all the hate she throws at God, God is in her thoughts.

I pray that love will replace her hate.

My Dear,
listen to your brothers & sisters here of TalkJesus, they're making a lot of sense.

There are people such as the girl you mentioned, hoping for someone like you & me to say something to them. I'm not surprised at all that she replied you in such away. I have found this is how some people like to get their attention & thrills in their life.

You being offended - could have made her day, something she can brag about later to anyone that will listen & laugh along with her.

She's probably very young & could be hurting in side herself, like the our brothers & sisters of TalkJesus were saying.

Maybe she knows nothing about GOD or very, very little.

If you feel the need to say anything to such a person, then the best thing to do would be to go directly to The Almighty GOD first, in prayer, letting HIM know how you feel & how it's ofecting you. {Read Matthew 5:44 & Luke 6:28}

Though HE may already know what's going on - HE still wants you to go to HIM.

Then if you still feel the need to say something to her.

Try saying something like this;

"Some Bible Studying would do you some good. If you have a love for life,

try getting to know The Almighty GOD.

Do you believe in true friendships? And being with those who truly care about you? Are you tired of living in a world that's filled with just hate & violence?

Then I strongly urge you to get to know Jesus Christ & GOD - The Almighty GOD, Jehovah! Only then will the hate & violence start to leave your life & be replaced with True Love & Happyness."

Maybe it will help - more then likely it won't - but it won't hurt neither.

What we want to do is help people to see that The Amighty GOD & Christ Jesus wants the best for us & why HE has rules & regulations for us all to follow. & all HIS rules & regulations lead to love & happiness.

I agree with Chinaski. This girl is probably a hurting young lady. If I were you, I would check her posts periodically for clues as to what is behind her hatred of God. Its almost certain that eventually she will say something that will give you a clue.

I would not be in a hurry to respond to her. Let her vent her anger. For you to tell her how her comments offend people will be a waste of time at best and, at worst, may drive her further away from the Lord.

Be patient and ask God for guidance in dealing with her. His way never fails.

It sounds like shes in a lot of pain and perhaps angry, Maybe she has been mistreated by Christians in the past,
The best thing is to TRY not to preach but to express Jesus' love by showing it, (would seem like a big big trial and test) but think what you could both learn from it,

Good Point Anonymous Poet, LOVE...even through the written word could do more than preaching, teaching or condemning. 1 Corinthians 13.

I know just how you feel. It happened to me at another site, sometime ago. This person was male and he professed to be satanic. He said some very frightening things against the Lord our God. I read a few of the lines of his post and then decided for my own peace of mind, to stop reading while I was still able to hold on to what little peace I had. These types of situations prey on my mind and rob me of what I should be focusing on (how Great our God truly is). Jesus said in some cases we must shake the dust off of our feet. Also, He says, not to throw our pearls to the swine, lest they turn on us and trample us. I think that for me, all I can do in this type of situation, is pray that these souls will, or should I say, that God will somehow bring someone to these souls who He has ordained to make a difference in their lives. With God all things are possible.
Anyway, when the Lord our God is insulted, it also insults us. This happened to Jesus too. He cleared out the temple because it was a reproach to the Father, and just as the Psalm foretold, the reproach for the Father's House fell upon our Lord. So, you are in good company.
I pray that somehow, someway, these souls will realize what a dangerous game it is to play, by saying such things. .......jmh137

It bothered me that I didn't word something right in my previous post, but I can't edit it for some reason. So, this is what I meant to say:
That in a Psalm it tells us that (my own words), the Lord saw the reproach the people had for the house of God, it filled Him with zeal to set it right. He was insulted by their actions to the point of righteous indignation. He cleared the temple in His anger. .......jmh137

Thanks for the wonderful wisdom you all have shared to the post. What I would like to say is that we must also be very careful and discerning how we deal with such issues especially over the internet. It's easy to say how we should should respond to such things by doing this or that but I think the wisest thing to do is to seek the Lord first on what His will is for that particular situation and then deal with it according to HIS will and not in reaction.

Sometimes people play on others emotions for a thrill and you spend alot of energy worrying about that person. Sometimes the enemy will use these situations to distract your from the more important issues you need to deal with. I am not saying that we should forget about this person's soul.

All I am saying is we need to exercise more wisdom in dealing with people that we don't know personally because sometimes it can do more harm than good.

Bless you All.

My God, My Love

I too went to a different Christian site, out of curiosity. Yahoo Christian site. It is horrific and so against our Lord. The site seems to be full of Christian haters. What I worry about, is the true Christians that go to that site and become so very confused over the hatred and misguided Word of God and invented word of God, to confuse the fledgling Christian.
We shall overcome. The Lord is with us. Lord Almighty, please rescue the few or the many Christians that get caught up in hate filled unchristian, demon driven lusts of those who hate our God. Our God is an awesome God.
Just a note, for everyone to be careful about these non Christians. Their goal is to take Christ from His throne and to confuse greatly, the innocent soul.
God bless you all, you are so beautiful. Amen and thank You Lord:rose:

Agreed

I agree with the last 2 posts very much.

There were other times on other sites when I (out of being curious, knowing that I shouldn't have) would seek out the non-believers' places. Maybe I thought that I could witness to them and make a difference. Maybe I didn't seek them out for all the right reasons. It probably was because I don't have much contact with others, and I thought that this would be a way to witness to others. I truly don't know why. I was just driven to see what they had to say. In doing so, I ran across, some self-proclaimed satanists. I would always use the Word. I wanted them to see that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, have the only true power there is. It seems that I would always go down (so to speak) afterwards. I know myself well enough by now, to know that I need to stay away from that type confrontation, at least for the present time. Yet, I do believe in my heart that there are those, whom God has ordained to deal with this type of situation. Also, there are pray warriors who can lift them up to God.

I had a preacher once who said that if we truly believed in Hell, then we would all try as hard as we could to keep others from going there.

Maybe I just don't know the right way to deal with it. So, now I try to stay away from those places. We are all in the hands of God and He knows all.

Spiritual discernment is what I need. While there are those that are confused and angry, and need to be shown God's love; there are surely those who just want to destroy our faith. And there is so much in this world to destroy our faith. .......jmh137

I'm relatively new to the Internet, and when I first began posting in forums and chatting at social network sites the depth of hate and prejudice directed at me for saying that I was a Christian really shocked me. I was verbally attacked, called a nazi, a bigot, a fascist. And none of these people knew a thing about me. All they knew was that I said "I'm a Christian".

It can be really disconcerting, but Christ told His followers that they would be treated roughly for His sake and that we should rejoice.

It saddens me that so many people, especially younger people (the majority of those attacking me were teens) have no real idea of who Jesus was or what He was all about. All they have are distorted caricatures created by pop culture, and falsehoods. Many of them don't even want to know the truth.

I talked with a young girl once who told me "Even if Jesus appeared in my room tonight and proved to me beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Bible was true and the only way to Heaven was through Him, I'd reject Him!" How crazy is that?

To me it's just a sign of the End Times. As we draw nearer the appointed hour, anti-Christian sentiment will grow and life for Christians will become increasingly difficult. Already signs of the growing Anti-Christian attitude are apparent in so many areas of our everyday lives.

We just need to pray for the lost. Do what we can to give them a true picture of Christ and His message. And if they reject it, we walk away (just as the Disciples were told to shake the dust of cities which rejected them from their sandals). Meanwhile, we keep our own faith strong and keep up the good fight. That's my attitude.

Sonworshiper: I applaud the wisdom I've seen in what you've posted on this site. I also applaud your courage in sticking your head in the lion's mouth by showing your faith on secular websites.
