Matthew 5:21-23 (King James Version)

21Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

23Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

So what dose this verse is saying anyways???

These Scripture would relate to what Christ is saying here. Notice, we are not to judge in a condemning way, but to judge for the sake of the person, in a way of rebuking, correcting - all in a loving Christ-like manner.

Matthew 7:2-4

2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?

2 Timothy 4:1-3

Preach the Word

1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

The above is Paul speaking to Timothy giving him instruction on preaching the good news of Christ Jesus. In the same manner, we are to do what Paul was instructing Timothy to do.

I heard some Christian call someone a fools:embarasse

Brother, be concerned about what GOD says, not people. Scripture says what GOD says. If your worried about the word fool, don't use it.

I tell people now and then if they are acting like fools. I do not say it to belittle them and hurt them. I'll say it in a tone to express a 'wake up' call so to speak or to hold them accountable for something stupid they are / or have done. Its all for their own sake, to help them. To call someone a fool in a condemning, insulting way is wrong and ungodly of course.
