**Please, after you have read this story, tell me; A.)why it's
wrong to let lies, jealousies or greed over power you? B.)what
lying, jealousness & greed do to a person? C.)what does Genesis
4:7 have to do with all that?
*I could go into each & every little detail of this movie, but that
would be quite long. So I will tell you a brief story of what
happened.*
I was watching this movie one day with my husband & my
brother.
The name of the movie is 'O'.
And let me tell you - that was one sad messed up story! From what I understood the story was about Owen, a young black man in college playing basket ball.
Number 1 on his team!
He was so good that his coach favored him.
Well the coach has a son of his own - the same age as Owen, who also played basket ball & on the same teem.
Needless to say - the coach's son was a bit jealous of Owen & he wanted to be the number 1basket ball player on the team to please his dad.
Owen himself, had nothing against the coach's son. Well anyway Owen was seeing a girl whom he loved very, very much.
But this coach's son was going to break them up. He was so jealous of Owen being the top basket ball player on the team that he literally wanted to destroy Owen's life!
Though Owen's girl-friend loved Owen very much & would never, ever cheat on him or do anything to hurt him, the coach's son convinced Owen that his girl-friend was sleeping around with one of Owen's friends.
A friend that kknew Owen's girl, before Owen ever knew her.
(*Keep in mind this is just a brief story to what really happened)
So every time, there was game played, Owen's girl was
always in the bleaches cheering him on.
So was Owen's friend, sitting right next to her.
This messed with his head.
No matter how many times Owen's girl told him how wrong he was, that she
wasn't cheating on him - the more he believed she was lying & that
teared at his head & heart even more.
Needless to say, the coach's son really knew the truth for he was the one who made up all the lies told about Owen's girl-friend.
He even had some help to make lies seem more like the truth. Poor Owen lost it one night - so heart broken & angry that set out to kill the one he loved.
After he killed her, then he finds out the truth.
Of course then it was too late!
So this made him feel even worse - so sick inside of himself, that he couldn't take it - he killed himself.
But before he did, he ask the coach's son - 'Why?'
