1 Peter 2:24-Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

For you to not waste Jesus sacrifice you first have to know what Jesus did. Notice, it says by his stripes we were healed, it didn't say we will be healed that's how God sees us because of what Jesus did, so what did Jesus do? Isaiah 53:4,5,10 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Notice, it says Jesus bore our griefs(sicknesses and diseases) and carried our sorrows (afflictions/anguish). And verse 10 says, that God put him to grief(made him sick) that word grief means to make sick. How was Jesus made sick, you don't hear about him being sick while he walked the earth. He was made sick when God put our sicknesses and diseases on him. That's why it says he bore our sicknesses and diseases because God put ours on him and it pleased God to do it for our freedom from it.

In Isaiah 53:5 it say, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (CEV He was wounded and crushed because of our sins; by taking our punishment, he made us completely well.) We have something in our justice system called double jeopardy which means two people can't be charged with the same crime, once the penalty for a crime has been satisfied no one else can be charged. So, say someone commits a crime, but someone else gets arrested and convicted and the penalty for that crime is 10 years and that person serves the 10 years no one else can be charged for that crime, because the penalty for that crime has been satisfied. That's what Jesus did for us, we did the crime, but he took the punishment. And by him taking our punishment, he satisfied all penalties for our crimes(sins). And since he took ours that leaves us free. And one of those penalties was sickness and disease so by him taking that penalty that leaves us free of them or in other words that leaves us healed.

So legally we are healed, but that's not physically. But what you are legally can be manifested physically. Let me explain that: The first thing a person thinks is "If I'm healed why do I still have this problem." Because people think that healing is only when all the pain leaves and everything is gone.
But, God sees it differently, there is a spiritual side to healing that I don't think people consider. When I said you are legally healed, I mean it has already occurred in the spirit. See, a lot of times when God says things in past tense it's because they have occurred in the spirit. But, they have not been manifested physically. Like, when God told Abraham, "I have made thee a father of many nations", he was that legally(spiritually), but not physically. Because, in Romans 4:19 it says his body was dead. So, when things are done legally they are present in the spiritual realm, but not the material realm. And what's present in the spiritual realm can be manifested physically. He did become a father of many nations in this material realm.

But, people tend to not believe something has been done until it comes into the realm of the senses. But, just because something is not manifested doesn't mean nothing was done. It's like being in an accident, you can be in an accident and think you have no need to go to the doctor because you have no effect manifested. But, weeks later you can wake up one morning and try to get out of bed and can't move because of pain and stiffness. Now, when did the injury occur when the pain manifested or weeks earlier when you had the accident. So, just because something isn't manifested doesn't mean nothing was done. Something has been done for our healing, now what's been done needs to be manifested. And the flesh is not the evidence of something being done by God. Like Abraham, When God told him for a father of many nations have I made thee his flesh was not the evidence because his body was dead.

If you wait to feel something or see something you may never receive it. Like the 10 lepers in Luke 17--- They cried out to Jesus, "Son of David have mercy on us. And Jesus said to them, "Go show yourselves to the priest." Now, the law was you don't show yourselves to the priest until after you have been cleansed. So, apparently Jesus was calling them cleansed. Now, understand once Jesus called them cleansed he released that in the spirit so legally they were cleansed, so they had a right to show themselves to the priest. And with no manifested evidence they went and as the went they were cleansed. Them going with no manifested evidence was an act of faith, so as they went what they were legally was manifested physically. Had they waited to feel better or look better they would not have received it then. You can't wait until you look better or feel better before you believe. The Holy Spirit brought up in my spirit it's amazing how when people go to check their bank account balance all they give you is a piece of paper, they don't show you a penny. And yet, people get that piece of paper and start making decisions, planning on how they are going to spend it, go and write checks, spending something you haven't even seen.

That person could have pressed a wrong button, the machine could have malfunctioned, but that never crosses a persons mind and yet God puts something in writing (the one that cannot lie, can't make a mistakes) now all of sudden you have to see something. But, you just take that receipt on faith. So, why not believe the word like that. In Leveticus 16:21 God introduced the scape goat offering and it reads-- And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness. God declared when Aaron the high priest laid his hands on the head of that goat and confessed the peoples sins the sins of the people would be put on the head of that goat. Well, that's what God did concerning Jesus with our sicknesses and diseases, the word declares our sicknesses and diseases were put on Jesus Isaiah 53:10. That's what the word declares, God put him to grief which means to make sick, he was made sick with our sicknesses and diseases.

That's why Isaiah 53:4 says, Surely he hath borne our griefs(sicknesses and diseases) and carried our sorrows(affliction and anguish). So, as far as God is concerned they are gone from us (that's legally healed). You have to realize that there are spiritual things that are just as real if not more real than physical things that we see as real. Notice, 2 Corinthians 4:17,18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: the things which are seen are temporal(physical); but the things which are not seen are eternal(spiritual). So, there are spiritual things that can not been verified by the senses that are real. Let me show you another scripture that might make things clear 1 John 1:1,2 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life. 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;).

Notice, the life existed in the spirit because he said it was with the Father from the beginning, but it couldn't be seen or touched until it was manifested. Just because you can't see the healing or feel the healing doesn't mean it doesn't exist, it just is not manifested yet in your situation. Once the healing is manifested then that's when it benefits your body. Now, understand sickness is not only physical, but it is spiritual at the root, the result of Adams sin. 1 Corinthians 618 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. See, it's not the body doing it, it's the one in the body doing it through the body. You are not your body that's why you(spirit) gets judged and not your body. 2 Corinthians 5:10 says ESV For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. Notice, in the body not by the body. And you don't see sickness until after the fall of man caused by Adam's sin. So, what Adam did was spiritual. So, to deal with sickness effectively you need to deal with it on the spiritual level. Once it's dealt with on the spiritual level the manifestation will cease.

Notice, in Number 16:41-50 41 But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the Lord. 42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared. 43 And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation. 44 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces. 46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Lord; the plague is begun. 47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. 48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. 49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah. 50 And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.

Notice, when the people murmured against Moses (that was a spiritual act) and from that spiritual act a plague broke out(a physical manifestation) and people started dropping dead. Notice, what Moses did he told Aaron to make an atonement for the people(spiritual act) and when atonement was made the plague stopped(the manifestation ceased). See, when it's cut off in the spirit the manifestation will cease in the physical. Understand roots even in the natural and it will show you how it works in the spiritual. Roots are always in the unseen and what's in the unseen gives life to what is in the seen so if they are ever separated what's in the seen will cease to be. In 2 Corinthians 4:18 it says the things which are not seen are eternal (which means perpetual(never ending or changing) everlasting). So, healing is available 24/7/365 in the spirit for us to receive when we need it. Peter under the unction of the Holy Spirit said, "By whose stripes we were healed." Were means it's already done. So, if God has to do something for us to be healed, He couldn't say, "We were healed." Were means the act has been completed. Now, we have to receive what's been done.

Notice, God promised Abraham and Sarah they would have a son, but his body was dead and her womb was dead, but notice God came to him and told him, "I have made you a father of many nations." For God to say, "I have made thee ...." had to mean something had been done about their bodies legally/in the spirit because in the present state they couldn't have a child. Notice, in Hebrews 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. When God does something in the spirit they have to be received, not done. Notice, through faith you receive from God which means it has to be done first. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Well, how can you have the substance of something that doesn't exist. Faith is your evidence because for me to have it means the thing has to exist. Just because the healing is not in manifestation doesn't mean it's not done it just means you haven't received it physically. And until you receive it physically it doesn't do your body any good.

For example your bank account might be on zero, your pockets may be empty, you would consider yourself broke. But, you get a letter in the mail that a relative has left you 10 million dollars, the first thing you would say is, "I'm Rich", even though it's not in your physical possession you would consider yourself rich. Notice, something was done, you've been given something, it's yours, but it's not in your possession physically. And until you receive it physically it's not doing you any good. So, when I say don't waste Jesus sacrifice, don't disregard what he has done. He took our punishment for our freedom which is why he was manifested 1John 3:8 ESV Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. And sickness is a work of the devil, so God wants sickness gone. And through Jesus our healing is always available.

How do receive what's in the spirit Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Don't limit the word salvation it's translated deliver/ health/ rescue/make whole. Notice, you confess unto those things, which means to say the same thing. So, for me to confess God has to say it first. That's why God changed their names from Abram-high father to Abraham- father of a multitude and from Sarai-My Princess to Sarah-Princess of the multitude. You always receive from God by faith Romans 5:1,2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. So, the grace already is before it's manifested, how can you access something if there's nothing there. And just the fact that you access it by faith means it has to already be. Don't disregard the spiritual, I mean just look at yourself, you are both flesh(physical) and spirit. And yet, the unseen part of you is more real than the seen part. The unseen part is eternal it will live forever, but not your flesh. So, don't disregard the spiritual. The grace, the healing is there waiting to be received.

But, Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Death is separation, but to be spiritually minded is life. Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace. In other words I'll supply the grace for you to receive by faith. The grace is waiting to be received by faith, so you can't wait to see it before you believe it. You have to believe it first. And thanks be to God and Jesus your healing is there in the spirit, now waiting to be received by faith.

It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
