Worrying has never solved a problem. We all know this, but our human nature and circumstances in life cause us to forget or disregard - we're naturally jumpy to worrying about things and matters. Give it to GOD. Does GOD worry? No. Does He expect us to worry? No. If we are to be like Christ (who being GOD in flesh, does not worry) then we too are not to worry.

How dare we call ourselves believers in Christ, the Most High, Creator, Healer, Comforter, SAVIOR and then turn around worrying about petty things in life (any thing in life, even up to death is petty in comparison to the Lord's strength)

Philippians 4:6

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God

Matthew 6:25-34

Jesus Christ taught us this about worrying...

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Give it all to GOD. Pray in Jesus' name FAITHFULLY and smile that the Lord has heard YOUR prayers, and be at peace.

1 Peter 5:6-7

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Philippians 4:7

7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Hi Chad,

So true! We worry too much over everything - and I found myself to be the best in this field :-) But I thank the Lord for his guiding hand and his persisting love.

In a book I am reading by a Joanna Weaver has said quote: "Concerns draws us to God. Worry pulls us from Him". This is so true as well. Out of my own desires I tried to make things work on my own - my own agenda. What happens is a mess of mistakes and misunderstandings.

I'm back on track now and hopefully I don't stray again. My Heavenly Father is my hope, my life and my all. This truth cannot be taken from me again.

God bless,
Snowrose

Amen Chad and Snowrose...God will supply for the saints, may he be praised for his power.. and provision for us.

God bless

Hello dear friends,

Yesterday I placed a note in the prayer request about getting a job I was hoping for and was not excited about it. Since then I have been doing some thinking and meditating on worrying. Why wasn’t I excited? It is because I was worrying. I thought that I place my thoughts in this thread. As you can see I answered this tread, but again I fell off track. I am sorry - lesson learned.

I also looked up worry in the Daily Bread and Richard De Haan wrote – “Worry robs us of joy, drains us of energy, stunts our spiritual growth, and dishonors God. Jesus said, "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble" (Matthew 6:34).”

I allowed worry to steal my joy and drain me. I started to worry about taking on too much – worrying about how it will affect my unemployment – even though it is only for a few hours of work. How long will it take me to learn to trust in God? How long will it take to learn to live loved – love by God? - As long as it takes to get to know God’s true character. He loves me and yet it still it is hard to take in. In order to make this relationship to work, I need to go deeper. Not by stressing but by resting in His word and communing with Him.

Thank you again my dear friends for your prayers and encouragement. May God bless you.

Love,
Snowrose

PS - Thank you again Chad for this thread.

AMEN Sister! I think it takes a lifetime...speaking only for myself...but I know I will never fully comphrehend the love and care of God, until I`m finally standing in His presence,
and am able to look back over lifes journey thru His eyes.

Glory to God!

Dear bros and sis ,

How long will it take me to learn to trust in God?

This line prompted me to think .Shall I put my trust in JESUS or shall I do it my way ?
My children are not faring in school , yet I'm a teacher . I get worried .
What to do ? I'm really drained out after a day's work because I get tired easily .
I have read a book , by Pastor Took Hammond , a lady , Anxious for Nothing and it has taught me to take one thing at a time . And to ALWAYS have faith in JESUS and LEAN on HIM . HE loves us . Let us do it in the arms of the LORD JESUS and not in the arms of the flesh .

Thank you Snowrose for a wonderful sharing . God Bless

.
