Nah, there is always those down throughout history that looks and hopes for the least little they have to do to avoid hell (amoung christians), so nothing new there. I seriously doubt they were part of the true church. Its why the road is narrow, for many will say they were for the Lord, but they were only for the Lord they made up in their own mind to follow. For those, it was never about seeking the "truth", it was about wanting to believe that their version of God was more accurate and it allowed their perverted form of the truth so they can slink in the back door to heaven without being what they believe are overly righteous believers.

When I get disgusted with some of the things supposedly brothers and sisters in the Lord do.... I just remember that when Elijah got disgusted with the people and was feeling alone in his faith.... God told him there were true believers that were true (in the thousands which at that time was a significant number). Its just you dont hear about those brothers and sisters as much as the ones that push the boundaries of righteous living trying to see what they can get away with and still avoid hell.

From what I heard they raised a lot of money and probably expect better attendance from the publicity.

Sometimes it feels that way, especially after reading some of the posts in Talk Jesus lately. It is like normal thinking Christians are a thing of the past. We have become relecs, LOL.
