In Proverbs 4:20-22 it shows a very powerful principle for receiving healing. It says, 20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Notice, it says his word is life and health and that word health is translated as medicine, remedy, healing, and cure. So, when you are dealing with the word you are dealing with supernatural medicine from heaven. And notice, how you take God's medicine by you having it going in your ears and eyes, because those are pathways by which you plant God's word in your heart where He tells us to keep it. The best way to keep the word in your ears is by you speaking it because Psalm 45:1 says, My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Your tongue is how you write things on your heart, Proverbs 3:3-Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart. So, your tongue is an important instrument for putting the word of God in your heart, Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. Notice, there's a lot of reference with the word and our heart. That's because of what Jesus taught in Mark 4 in the parable of the sower. Where Jesus teaches us that the word of God is seed, verse 14( The sower soweth the word) and our heart is where the seed is to be sown, verse 15( And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.)
So, Jesus teaches us that the heart of man is like soil. And the word also teaches us that the word of God is water in Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. And the word of God is also light in Psalm 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light. So, by the word you have seed, water, and light, but the word needs your heart(soil). That's why He tells you to put the word in your heart and keep it there. Because, when you keep the word in your heart that's how it goes to work to produce for you. Notice, what it says in Leviticus 26:4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. So, when rain/water hits the earth the soil and seed will go to work to produce. That's why in the times of famine it was because of no rain or water, because no rain no growth. They all work together in God's process. And Jesus shows a comparison of how it works in the natural it also works in the spiritual. So, we can make some comparisons like you put the seed on the inside and you will see the thing on the outside. So, the seeds of healing you put inside you will see the healing outside in your body. Notice, in Proverbs 4 it says that the word is also life, the word is alive as it says in Hebrews 4:12 The word is quick(alive) and powerful. So, the seeds of life you put on the inside you will see on the outside in your body. Take Abraham and Sarah for instance in Romans 4:19 it says, And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb.
So, his body was dead and her womb was dead, but you see in Genesis 17:5,15 that before their names were Abraham and Sarah their names were Abram-High Father and Sarai-My Princess. But, what God did is change their names from Abram to Abraham-Father of a multitude and from Sarai to Sarah-Princess of Nations. He changed their names to fit what He promised them, that by them they would have many descendants as numerous as the stars. But, his body was dead and her womb was dead so what their bodies needed was life. Well, the word is life and what God did is give them a word or seed by their names. And the seed of life they put on the inside they saw on the outside because they did have a son and by him they had many descendants. So, the word of healing or life you keep on the inside you will see on the outside in your body. The life of the word can manifest, that spiritual life can manifest/be seen physically. 1John 1:1,2 says, That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us. What was from the beginning, the word John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And John 1:14 says, And the word became flesh(manifested). So, the word can go from unseen to seen by you if you are willing to go through the process. Whatever life or healing your body might need it's in the word and you can draw it out. I know because it worked for me.
It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
