2 CHRONICLES 7:13 "If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people.
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear them from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Drought- Australia, California, Alaska (wildfires)

Locusts- Africa eastern horn right now. (crops being destroyed at record pace)

Pestilence/plague- World wide right now (Covid-19)

Shall we as the future kings and priests unto the Lord humble ourselves and pray for ourselves as well as those who will not pray for themselves??
I would beg that it is our duty to make prayers and supplications for the people that God may heal this land.

James 5:16 " Confess your faults one to another, AND PRAY ONE FOR ANOTHER, THAT YE MAY BE HEALED. The EFFECTUAL, FERVENT prayer of a RIGHTEOUS
MAN AVAILETH MUCH."

Chronicles was written to Jews. It is not applicable to us. We are already 'perfect / sinless' if we are His people. We have already repented and turned from our wicked ways.

I would respectfully disagree as the plagues and pestilences that are spoken of in the first verse are occurring now. Jesus made of two, one new man. That one new man
is ALL men. If they do not know God then how shall they pray, however we who are called by his name can do that for them as priests, which we are according to Rev 5:10
Pray for those who won't pray for themselves was the message.

1 Ti 2:1 "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made FOR ALL MEN;

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have ALL MEN to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

If these are signs of the end of the age, we should respond by being witnesses to the Lord Jesus Christ, giver of life, conqueror of death, judge of mankind and eternal saviour.

If on the other hand these are the business as usual outbreaks of disease and famine that have been with us since Adam was ejected from the garden we should respond by being witnesses to the Lord Jesus Christ, giver of life, conqueror of death, judge of mankind and eternal saviour.

We are salt and light and we are called to make our light shine. Let's do that by spreading with confidence the simple timeless message of Jesus in a time of complex uncertainty.
