Edrisam, Welcome to Talk Jesus. I'm excited for you.

Just this morning, I was reading of the exciting things God has been doing in Uganda. Many, many Ugandans are coming to relationship with Jesus. It seems that God's power is sweeping your country and the Satanic altars in the high places are being destroyed. That is awesome news!

I, too, would be concerned about the devil in your situation because he is angry, but please remember that he is a defeated foe and it would not be good for you to let him trick you into giving him too much attention. One of his favorite ploys is to get new believers worrying about him as much as he can. The more time you spend worrying about the devil, the less time you will spend in fellowship with Jesus. And drawing you away from Jesus is just what he wants to accomplish.

I offer you three Scriptures to help you fend off his attacks:

1) "Remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different than what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it." (1 Corinthians 10:13 - NLT)

2) "We are human, but we do not wage war (against Satan) with human plans and methods. We use God's mighty weapons, not mere worldly weapons, to knock down the devil's strongholds. With these weapons, we break down every proud argument that keeps people from knowing God. With these weapons, we conquer their rebellious ideas and teach them to obey Christ." (2 Corinthians 10: 3-5 NLT).

3) "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more." (Isaiah 43:25 NIV).
