Seems to be a new movement among some of the youth today. It is called Emo music. I try and find out about it from my children.
Apparently they listen to "dark" music, dress up in tight black clothing and the boys dress in "girlie clothes". This is disturbing enough!!!..but what they also do is self inflict wounds. These youth are mutilating there own bodies.
It is a common enough "fad", that there are some of these children in my son's
school.
Please pray for these children. They sure need your help. Amen:Pixie:lightning :sun: :rainbow:

Well, to let anyone know who may have questions on this "Emo" stereotype. Yes it is true the boys dress like girls and they listen to some odd music, but the whole "self-inflicting" thing; well it isn't true. It's partly true, but not completely. None the less they need prayer, but not all of them are what people or society say they are. The term "Emo" stands for "emotional" and that's what they are. They express themselves differently and pretty much wear their feelings not only on their sleeves, but on their bodies through their clothes!
I myself have been called an "emo" and it's nothing but a thing to me. The music they listen to isn't really dark, but like I said "emotional". Pretty much, they just show their feelings in different ways.

Many of them do inflict pain on themselves such as cutting, that's the main thing they do. But that is caused by their homelives and stuff they are afraid to tell people so they keep it inside, and express it the only way they know how.
Many of them are homosexual as well. Mainly the guys, but alot of them are like this. I'm not saying they don't need prayer, they do, believe me, but not all "Emo's" are like that.
I am not like that, I dress their way, and express my feelings in different ways, but don't judge an emo and think they are all cutters or dark and sad.

Really they are very bright! lol, but I'm just saying, so yes, pray for the one's who are in the classified situations from above, but don't get the wrong impression on us "emo's" if you do not know what it's about.

Prayers are needed

Inrobar, there are a lot of Emo's, inflicting self mutilation. I listen to my children and what they have to say. I praise God, that you aren't inflicting pain on yourself, but these kids are and it isn't a few.
I still ask for prayers for these youth. If it was just one youth, I would still be asking for prayers.
Lord Jesus, please guide your children to you. Allow them the love of Lord Jesus Christ, to replace there pain, no matter where it comes from
Thank You Jesus, for listening. Amen:Pixie:love:

wow, that's the first time i hear about that!
and i just wanted to let you know, i am praying for the safety of your children and for thoses emos...
love and blessings in Christ

I know, but I wasn't saying we don't need to pray for them cause we do! I'm just saying, not all of them are like this, and I don't want people who have never heard of them to get the wrong image on ALL of them.

Yes in all ways possible, they need our prayers! I agree with you 100%, but that was all I was saying.

Hey Inrobar

I think you are wonderful, caring and kind. We will unite all of us and pray for all God's youth. Children of God are everywhere, not just Emos.
Thanks for the additional info, re: Emos.
I know of one teen here in Port Hope Canada, who is an Emo. His parents are worried about him. His dad is a doctor and his mom is a nurse. They are very caring parents.
Could you please pray for their family, the Azzopardi family.
God bless and Amen:Pixie

sure pixie, i will pray!
and yes i really think you are very thoughtful and kind too Inrobar...God bless you!

:omg: America's youth as a whole is on a downslide. This Gothic movement and internet porno and everything. Churches need to get somehow more involved, but also our civilization needs to get back to traditional marriages and churchgoing. I grew up with ozzie and harriet type parents, was MADE to go to church whether or not I wanted to. Well, I had problems, but I came back around.
There's too much fussing about prayer being taken out of public schools. This deflects from the real issue, which is traditional family/church life.
This is not meant as a judgement against those who have been divorced. Divorce has run amuck in my own family, and I personally have never been able to get married. My church single's group has many divorcees in it.
But if a child doesn't know who his father is, and his mother brings home a different fellow every night blind drunk, the child is going to rely on movies, rock music and video games for growth developement and that is all the wrong direction.
That is my opinion.
