Has anyone here seen the new film "Evan Almighty?"
It is the sequel to the film "Bruce Almighty"
I have to say, I really liked some of the quotes and the ways God was represented in the first movie... because even though it seemed to mock God, the end actually represented him to be who he is. however, in the first movie, i didn't appreciate some of the language and references... but i guess it was still a secular movie so that is expected
EVAN ALMIGHTY had a G rating, so it had no such problems. I found it to be a really good film in all the ways that a film is good (quality, story, cinematography, humour, special effects, casting, etc etc) but also very promotional of God and christianity.
It has a similar approach as the first movie, picking the lead role as very anti-God, but does it so well. Morgan Freeman plays God, and many of his lines are full of biblical principles. it really paints a good picture of who God is for the rest of the world.
I really found this to be a great movie.
Any christian and non christian should see it, especially if you love a good laugh or love seeing the bible come to life in Hollywood.
It's up to us to promote these kind of films that are g rated and promote christianity, because the more we support them, the more hollywood will get the point and keep making more.
