Noah and His Ark
Just recently I viewed the film, “Evan Almighty” in a local cinema here in Australia.
The film was very similar to the story in the Bible of Noah and His Ark. Noah built the ark in spite of all the criticism from people of his day. People made fun of him when he said that God had told him to make an ark. After all there was no rain in sight, and the talk of the flood seemed ridiculous to many people.
As Noah continued to work, the ark began to take shape and this brought even more criticism from people. Noah eventually finished it and then loaded the animals as God had directed. The rains came and Noah and his family entered the ark. The earth was flooded and many perished. If only they had listened and changed from their sinful ways.
It is true that it is our human nature, with all its pride, that many people decide to live life without God. It is only by God’s grace that we have the gift of salvation.

Do you think it gave an accurate account of the story in the Bible of Noah and His Ark.?
I thought the film had a real meaning. It showed that God’s ways should always be taken seriously. He is a powerful and just God.
