The problem that is not being discerned by many believers in these latter days is how many will pray to Mary, the departed saints, and even to the Holy Spirit, and get an answer to prayer. Many will attest to a supernatural phenomenon and to visitations as a response to praying to the Holy Spirit and to Mary, but scripture reproves the evidence as not of God at all as that is NOT the Holy Spirit responding nor Mary.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.....13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
The Son of God is the only One that is answering prayers so that the Father may be glorified in the Son for answers to prayers. Jesus Christ is at that throne of grace to give our intercessions, the Spirit's silent intercessions by knowing the mind of the Spirit's, and the Son's own intercessions to the Father so when the Father says "Yes," to any of those intercessions, the Son answers the prayers so that the Father may receive thanksgivings in Jesus's name for answers to prayers. There is no other way that God the Father wants us to approach Him by way of prayer.
John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber..... 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door:....
To approach God the Father around the Son is considered as dishonoring the Son at that throne of grace as being our only Mediator between God and men and thus giving credit and glory for answers to prayers to Mary or the Holy Spirit or any of the departed saints or whomever.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
The Holy Spirit plays a part in answering prayers BUT even the Holy Spirit will give the credit and the glory to the Son for answers to prayers because the Son is the only way God can be glorified by in answers to prayers. That is the will of the Father & what the Spirit is doing.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
That means the words of the Holy Spirit as being the Spirit of Christ, and all the fruits of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are from the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:....11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Proof about Who among the Triune God has been given power to answer prayers is below.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
So climbing up another way around the Son is a work of iniquity, regardless of the many miracles attested by their visitations for praying to Mary or to the Holy Spirit when scripture testifies that it is not really Mary nor the real Holy Spirit answering.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it....21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Believers that refuse this correction regarding the iniquity of praying to the Holy Spirit, should consider that you will have no way to reprove those who pray to Mary and get supernatural visitations and get answers to prayers.
This judgment is in His words and disregarding the only Mediator between God and men is to dishonor the Son and thereby dishonoring the Father because it is His will forapproaching Him by prayer by the only way of the Son in Jesus's name, and that goes for worship too.
John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
The solution?
Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
The consequence if you don't repent?
Luke 13: 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: 26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. 28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. 29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. 30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
You will be left behind as disqualified from attending the Marriage Supper to be held in His honor at the pre great trib rapture event when the Bridegroom comes for the abiding bride of Christ. So narrow how you come to God the Father in worship & prayer today or else.
