The good news is that God took away my desire for women IMMEDIATELY after I was saved .Praise the Lord! The bad news is I started to be attracted to men...not innapropriate, lustful thoughts...thoughts like "that guy looks nice in that suit". Should a Christian women even be thinking things like THAT. Thoughts like these also make me feel socially awkward around men and I get anxiety and panic attacks. I also have bipolar disorder, which doesn't help. Would God take away my desire for the same sex just to replace it with an interest in the opposite sex? And why would He do this so late in life? I'm almost 60!

I don't think you have to worry about that. That's just normal. When I see a good looking man sometimes, I can think: hey he looks good and that's that.
I think you're just not used to it.
Now most of the time I don't even notice. Never wear glasses anyway.
Socially awkward around men, I had that when I was young. It goes away. They're just people. Don't worry.

Thank you. Much appreciated.

Greetings @JoniSteele

Thank and praise the Lord that your life has turned around!

Ask Him to keep your thoughts in check.

And look to the Lord for His perfect peace

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon Thee because he trusteth in Thee.
Isaiah 26:3

Thank you. I havent determined if these feeling are from God or from the enemy trying to distract me from my call to singleness. I need to pray about it

@JoniSteele -- God created us To be attracted to the opposite sex. You're just now realizing it / noticing it. You're almost 60 -- I'm 70 and widowed about a year ago after 46 yrs. of marriage. It also sounds like you're a new Christian. Is there a Christian woman counselor you can talk to.?

BTW-- noticing that a guy looks good in a suit isn't being lustful in your thinking. Unless you go as far as 'undressing him in your mind'.

What led to your salvation? Was it your concern of Being a lesbian?

Sounds like a good time in your life to discover what simple friendship is about.

If you'd like to start a "conversation" with me -- that would be fine. Do you know how to access the 'conversation' area -- the same thing as PMing.
