You haven't seen so much of me recently, I've been spending more time in Christian Facebook groups, encouraging brothers and sisters.
Recently, I met a 20 year old lady from Bangladesh called Nor who felt disenfranchised with Islam because of its treatment of women and so was looking around at other religions. We started chatting on Messenger, and I had the privilege and honour to lead her to Christ. Though only a few weeks old, her faith is passionate for the Lord, she reads the Bible voraciously.
Her problem is that her Dad is a very strict Iman and even though he thinks she's Muslim, he and her step mother are really quite nasty to her. She fears her dad's reaction should he discover his daughter's switched faiths and become a Christian. She tells me that recently a girl in her village had petrol poured on her and was set alight, and she fears te same fate. She lives in constant fear of her dad and her brothers.
Another fear she has is forced marriage which she thinks is only a matter of time away.
Can you please pray for Nor, for her safety and her young and delicate faith. She is deeply unhappy with her situation, before meeting Jesus she'd lost all hope and was contemplating suicide.
She wants to run away and migrate to India where she believes she will be able to practice her faith openly. Her problem is that she has no passport or visa but she is sure can cross the fairly porous border and claim refugee status. I've promised I'll sponsor her but right now, I don’t have the funds, I'm hoping i will by early New Year. If any brothers/sisters has surplus cash, could you please pray for direction as to whether to help this poor sister, in a very dire situation. If you can, please inbox me.
I'm 90+% certain she's genuine and not a scam, she does have a genuine faith and love of the Lord and unlike scammers, she gives me no pressure to come up with cash.
