Has anyone else seen this documentary yet? For those of you who haven't heard about it, its a film directed by Ben Stein that addresses the issue of Intelligent design vs. absolute evolution. More importantly than just looking at the claims of each this video looks at the way in which respected academics and scientists have been blacklisted for even mentioning intelligent design. He interviews various people on both sides of this debate. Mainstream science and academia won't even sit down to a civilized debate on this issue, they simply shut anyone out who speaks of it.

I think the most powerful question Ben Stein asks some of them is where life came from in the first place. Other interesting points of this movie in volved the connection between Darwinism and Nazism which I never thought of before but it makes sense. Near the end of the movie he paints kind of a very negative picture about the current predicament but you will have to see the movie to understand.

I recommend everyone else to give this movie a chance and let me know what your thoughts were on it. The website is interesting as well.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about the movie.

The academic world certinally wants to quickly dismiss anything related to God as blind belief or old superstition. They are very intolerant of anything that challenges their beliefs. You can look to the global warming debate also as they want to dismiss anything that challenges their belief people are destroying the planet.

I wish more of these movies were being made and getting mainstream attention.

I went and saw the movie on opening night to support Mr. Stein's initiative to bring such an important issue into the public view. I thought that the documentary was made well but I wasn't very surprised by it's content. The movie probably won't make him much revenue but I think he made it more for principle than profit.

The biggest problem with many people of the world is, they think that science and God contradict each other. If the seculars would be a little more open-minded, they might see that one can believe that both God and science exist in harmony and aren't mutually exclusive to each other.

My belief is that the God of the Bible is the One who made the science of our world work at all.
