For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those [who live] according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded [is] death, but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace. Romans 8:5-6
Slow down and take a minute to carefully reread the scripture verses above. Isn't that the kind of life you want to experience?
Sadly, many men think God doesn't look at them with love, favor, or delight--let alone desire to fill every fiber of their being. In their heart of hearts, they feel God is angry at them…or, at best, distant and uncaring. They certainly don't trust what He does in their lives. This is the great disconnect that the Father wants to deal with in your heart today.
When you trust and embrace God's deep love for you, you become better able to love others in return. Loving what God loves is the key--and yes, He absolutely loves you. Both Jesus and the apostles affirm this truth repeatedly.
One pastor told his church congregation that he knew God loved him but that the past week, for the very first time, he had experienced a profound revelation of "Jesus loves me, this I know" deep within his heart. He was completely transformed by this experience.
Prayer: Lord, I want to experience Your love anew. Transform me, I pray.
