Experience with another forum..

Hi everybody! I was visitng another forum and experienced a very dark atmosphere. I noticed very little discussion about Muslims, Hindus, atheists, limited beliefs in gods, but much discussion, criticisms, and bashings were focused on Christians. Much was being done by the so called intellects who were schooled in the bible, God's Word, and now apply their theology taking the discussions to a new level, discrediting the scriptures and when there is a disagreement, childish insults are traded, smart language is used until someone wins the argument! Persons reading this form their own perspectives in "spirituality" and the plain truth about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ becomes foolishness to them! I am a Christian, not ashamed of Jesus, and attempt to keep my words simple, was slammed when another handle critized me for being a literal fundamentalist, presumptuous, subversive, "very nasty in a passive agressive weenie way", and "another example of the "tyranny of weakness" that the Christians enslave you with". Honestly, I was telling the first handle I would pray for him and that set off everything. I am not a theologists, but would appreciate any thoughts and support on what I experienced this week. Not going back is the easy part, seeing the world's view about the Truth was hard.

Remember, the Lord told us, "If they hated me they will hate you also" and "The things of the Cross are foolishness to those that are perishing"

This is the reason He has left us here for a time ..... these rude and abusive ones are lost and will end up with the one they choose to follow by rejecting the Saviour .... and, we, no matter what we suffer, are called to speak Truth.

We will hear those words of hate; we will hear them more and more as this age draws to its close. But, keep speaking, Brother, because maybe one little soul out there will hear you and come to Him! We have to go into those rooms, we must go out into the streets to the lost! If we only talk with our beloved family then who will learn of the Saviour?

So, keep up the good work! Go in there to battle .. then come here to be strengthened in the Love of Christ and of your Christian Family! Put on the whole armor of God. In Him we are more than conquerors. He has won.

Hey, Bobinfaith. I've experienced the exact same thing when I went to some other forums. Keep your faith strong and equip yourself with the Armor of God:

Finally, be strong in the LORD and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. (...) Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
