This is something God put on my heart to write. Wasn't sure where to post it, so I'm going to put it here. Hope that's ok. God bless you all.

Since the decision of the Supreme Court to legalize marriage between people of the same sex, people have been on the war path with each other. Those for, or practicing the act of homosexuality claim that Christians are full of hate, intolerant, homophobes, but the fact is we are not any of these things, we are just standing for what we know the truth to be and that is what is stated in the word of God. That truth will not change, will not fade, will not go away. It is there till the end of time and beyond. There is no getting around it or running from it, God says we obey His word or we suffer the consequences. In the words of Pastor John Hagee " God isn't saying lets make a deal He is saying This Is The Deal" Either live by My Truth and turn from your sin or you will face my wrath!
If we truly examine why Christians are being attacked it all comes down to one word and that word is TRUTH .
People do not like to face the truth about themselves or what they are doing. Lets face it the truth is a hard pill to swallow at times. No one wants to hear the truth about their faults or wrong doings, so what happens is defenses rise and people start retaliating to what they are being told. This is what is happening with those that are for or that do practice same sex relationships. They are being faced with the truth about the lifestyle they are living and just like most humans their defenses rise and they attack because it's easier than admitting they are wrong and the lifestyle they are living is wrong.

Not one of us is perfect we all fall short and we all sin. It's never easy facing the truth about what we've done in our lives, but once we do that, truth is what sets us free, the truth comes from God and He is truth and freedom at it's very best! He tells us in His word that the truth will set us free. This will only happen if we are willing to face the truth and ask forgiveness of those things we have done and then give our lives to Jesus allowing Him to set us free. Below are verses from the Bible which is God's instructions for life, lets see what He says about truth.

John 8:31-36 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, " If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." They answered him, " We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, You will be made free?" Jesus answered them, " Most assuredly I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin, And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

John 14:6 Jesus said to Him, " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Psalm 100:5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.

Psalm 117: 1-2 Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us and the truth of the Lord endures forever! Praise The Lord!

In these verses we see that Jesus Himself is truth. He said if we stay and abide in Him and His word that we will know the truth and be free. He also said He is the only way to God Himself, there is no other way. We also see that there is nothing that will stop the Truth of God because it will endure to all generations and forevermore. There is no escaping God, He is knows, and sees thee is nothing hidden from Him. His truth will prevail and there is no stopping that. Now lets see what God has to say about same sex relationships in the bible. Keep in mind these are not the words of myself or any other Christian, these are the words of God The Father in Heaven that we choose to live by.

Romans 1:24-32 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the Truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator who is blessed forever Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions for even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting. being with all unrighteousness , sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit , evil mindedness; they are whisperers, back biters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful, who knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

Leviticus 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

These clearly and plainly tell us how God feels about same sex relationships, but it also tells us how He feels about anyone unwilling to turn from a life of sin. God loves the sinner but will not not tolerate the sin, He is pure righteousness and truth therefore He cannot condone sin. In Romans we see the outcome of man when he chooses to be part of the world instead of part of the creator of the world. That goes for anyone who is unwilling to turn from their sins and toward Jesus Himself. Those who practice same sex relationships, as well as any man who knows the truth and turns from it, God doesn't see one sin greater than the other to Him sin is sin. God gave us free will to choose, we either choose Him or we choose sin. It's pretty simple really...choose life or choose death. God encourages us to choose life.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing, therefore choose life that both you and your descendants may live , that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, For He is your life and the length of your days.

Now the question is which will you choose? Will it be life or will it be death? I encourage you also to choose life and turn to Jesus now giving Him your life and asking Him for forgiveness of the wrongs you have done. We are all sinners but through the sacrifice of Jesus and the shedding of His blood we are made free and we are made righteous in Him. He loves you and if there was only you on this earth He still would of sacrificed Himself for you because He loves you that much and wants a relationship with you.

Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Here is the challenge to you, choose this day whom you will serve. Will you serve the world and those things of the world or will you choose to serve God and receive life and freedom as you've never known before? I pray that you do choose life. in God there is life, freedom and peace and that is what I pray for you as you read this that you will want, long for and go after this life of freedom that God is offering you.

Very good talk!
I think there is no place for a professing gay Pastor in the church, nor for professing homosexuals or marriages. By "professing" I mean, I am a Christian but I am a homosexual and I am not repentant nor will I every change.
On the other hand, it is our duty to love them, invite them in, but be steadfast with the word of God and tell them the truth about their homosexuality. Though they may still be struggling, as long as they confess Jesus Christ and are repentant, we should encourage them to stay and learn the gospel, and help them with their struggle.

Great post sister. Glad you posted this. The truth as you quoted, God says here's the deal, not let's make a deal. I like that and it is truthful. The second someone tries to customize the Word of GOD is the very moment they completely side with the devil.

Glory day,
Something that just came to me while reading; great post by the way.

Sin is sin; it doesn't matter if it is a homosexual or us pointing fingers because they are; it is sin.
Spiritual warfare is going on and we should be focused on the unclean spirit rather than the words that one chooses to use to describe, explain, or justify themselves.
Speak the Word of God to the unclean spirit, not the flesh of person standing before you.
Just might see a devil spirit cast out and a sinner gets saved.

The publican comes to mind who could not even lift his head, but humbled himself and said, "Lord, forgive me, a sinner."
The other boasted in pride, "Lord, I am not as others, or this publican. I have done this, I have done that."
Who did the Lord justify and hear?

Many look at something and see what it is (sinner); Few look at something and see what it can be (saved).
With God, all things are possible.
All praise, glory and honor be unto God. Amen
