Fair Use Laws

Anyone know about fair use laws? The pictures in Facebook, on internet to upload. These are okay to use, right? Someone brought this up the other week ago, and since I use verse images everywhere, I wanted to check into it more. I am not the only one, so just want to know about it.

If you are using a copyrighted image, then as long as you aren't using it and passing it off as your own or making financial gain off of it, there is no problem. Some images are so ubiquitous that no one can claim a copyright to it, like the peace sign or a smily face.

Heads up: if you do use someone else's photo/image, whether copyrighted or not, and they inform you that they object to your use of it, best advice is to say "okay, sorry" and not use it anymore, especially if it is copyrighted.

For sure!!! I just use scripture images often and someone on another forum mentioned a free photo stock site to avoid copyright laws. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't racking up $8000 a scripture image like I was reading about. The Truth of the Word is priceless, but still. My anxiety and irrational thinking started kicking in. LOL
