It's Father's day today.

I know that this is more of a tradition than scripture, however I wish all of you fathers and your fathers a good father's day anyways.

I thank our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ also, and bless them.

Another pointless commercialized "holiday" where a majority of people get the SAME things and do the SAME thing spending as little as possible yet act like idiots over "Mother's Day".
Items bought for Father's Day:
Bodywash/Shampoo/etc. gift boxes.
Tools
Socks.
Ties.
Lower quality tier food.
Left alone but the rest of the family goes out and spends more money on themselves so he can have "alone time" or with the guys.
Forget both "holidays".
Anyone can and should find a time (or times) any time of the year to show love and appreciation to their parents but NEVER on those "holidays".

Why not?

Today, especially, I am lifted up in my spirit by acknowledging that there are fathers who also need lifting. Many need the wonderful appreciation they recieve on this day, which is a day of present time, and they get this day that recognizes how wonderful they are and how much we appreciate and love their presence in our lives. It is also a day where fathers, like mine, have a window open for reconcilliation; I get to recognize that I still have love and compassion for my father though he abandoned our family and left us on the streets, and I get to forgive, and now that I have opened the Gospel after being a terrible son, after comitting grievous sins, I can see from the Gospel of Jesus Christ my Lord that my own father, whom I have not spoken to in more than.. 28 years, may still be able to turn and repent and express his repentance towards God in Jesus Christ and then to my dear mother.

You don't know. None of us 'know,' untill we know.

Every one of us needs God. All of us. Consider those fathers that do break their backs, like my mother broke hers (yes, she broke her back working) to feed and raise a troubled and rebellious son like me, those fathers that go a hundred miles instead of 'just' one for their woman and children, and open our Heavenly Father's Word and walk in it and teach it by example to their families, some of whom are even willing to teach the ******* son with a good ass wooping and some Word (giving God Glory indeed); truly, these men deserve every day and blessing they get, and mothers likewise.

So, as it stands, I am far from being well instructed in my Lord Jesus Christ,

But I stand firm defending these men and women, our fathers and mothers, and their blessings.

I wish the presence of a Godly father would have been in our lives.

And in the lives of many, many others.
