I was wondering if some of you would share about your favorite bible verse is. I am asked this occasionally, and it seems like I can't really settle on just one.

Psalm 118:8

8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

This verse helps me to filter the evil from my world around me daily. We are surrounded by mens desires daily, our world is fuelled by mens desires. It stops the devil from entering my mind. He comes near to me, I say this verse and he runs.

Then i smile as he hurries away.

Matthew chapters 5,6 and 7. The sermon is my favourite part. It contains Jesus whole teaching.

Pslam 26 v 3
I see your love, and i live by your truth.

That verse always makes me smile, and is with me everywhere.

Jeremiah 31:3
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Yes, God has loved me with an everlasting love.

Philippians 4:6
Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need always giving thanks.

favorite verse

My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:13

"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

I need to seek with Him with a true heart and all of my heart.

That's always such a hard question for me...it usually depends on the day. My children, the ones I teach, always laugh at me...I'll say "this is my favorite scripture" They know it will be different next week....

I am the way, the truth and the life......

:embarasse not sure where it's from ....

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1Pe 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
1Pe 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the Spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

This is my favorite right now like victory girl it has changed from time to time... Whats awesome is the Lord placed this in my heart ... I didnt even know that there was a 1Peter 4:12 when i looked it up and read it WOW ! So now when things are getting rough (which they are right now) I read this and I find comfort.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

This is the most recognizeable one but also, how does one who loves GOD so much and His Word have a favorite verse? Mine can be any verse :)

I have so many I don't know which one to choose......

I would have to say mostly

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

I usually use the NIV, but this just sounds all the more beautiful in the KJ language. It's the promise of victory.

Job 22:21 - 28

21 "Submit to God and be at peace with him;
in this way prosperity will come to you.

22 Accept instruction from his mouth
and lay up his words in your heart.

23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored:
If you remove wickedness far from your tent

24 and assign your nuggets to the dust,
your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines,

25 then the Almighty will be your gold,
the choicest silver for you.

26 Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty
and will lift up your face to God.

27 You will pray to him, and he will hear you,
and you will fulfill your vows.

28 What you decide on will be done,
and light will shine on your ways.

My favorite bible words have to be.....

Behold i stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door i will come in and eat with him and he with me (in revelations 3 verse 20)

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of stress. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. Avoid such people. 6 For among them are those who make their way into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and swayed by various impulses, 7 who will listen to anybody and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth. 8

well i have a favorite passage in the Bible. It is psalms 139. It is truly an awesome chapter talking about how God knows us completely. It just makes me think about how awesome God is and how He loves us and cares for us soo much. God bless!!

MATHEW 7: 1-5
"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgement you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, let me remove the speck from your eye; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

All people have judged another, most still do, even Christians. I was once a terrible Pharisee. Always seeing others faults till I realized that although I'm saved it didn't make me "good". It's only because of God's love and grace towards me. Thank you Jesus for continuing to take the planks out of my eyes so I can see clearly and bring blessings to others instead of condemnation.

Psalm 23 comes to mind...

1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Amen.
